I don't see how that would help, though I suppose if he's going to leave, it would be nice if he signed a massive contract elsewhere and then his production fell off a cliff...

Didn't think of that, but I suppose it makes the most sense.

I could very quickly get used to having 2 of the Halladay/Oswalt/Hamels combo pitching in every 3 game series.

He's obviously very good, and he's a horse when it comes to how much he can pitch, which when combined with the same from Pep Lee enables this 4 man rotation to work without overtaxing my best relievers or getting a bunch of innings out of guys I'd rather not use that much.
