I can suspend a teenager for cutting school while encouraging his mother and him with my kindness. I can cover for six sick teachers with three substitutes. I can BS the fire department when we can't find our record of our last fire drill. I can teach AP English to kids who'd never be allowed into that class in another school. I can still outrun the teenage boys at cross-country practice. I can bike to and from work. I can greet one little boy at the playground by throwing him up in the air and pick up my other boy from the neighbors before they start shabbat. I can teach my daughter how to swim.

And then I can fall asleep in bed after only a couple of words spoken to my wife.

That was all yesterday.

I assume you are referring to Welfare or Unemployment, both of which you correctly credit Obama for inventing.

It's $20,000 now (assuming you mean the Main Event).  I'm not sponsoring anybody who doesn't know that.  I'd rather buy myself in if I had that kind of cash laying around...  It's actually something I hope to do at some point in my life, but no point in the near future.  Or medium future.  Or near-distant future.  It's a long way off.

Sh*t, looking over my 2 posts here:

* ex-wife totaled my '66 mustang, two love affairs over.....
* haven't golfed OR surfed in a couple of  months worth of Sundays, 2 more loves done....
* I live in chicago now, Hawai'i is long in my rearview mirror, another love lost.....
* my sisters turned on me and my care for my mother, now she's in a "retirement home", more gone...

But I have my 4yr daughter 4-5 days a week.... So the above is much more easy to handle .........and I am teaching my daughter to love surf, sun, the Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffett. Four of the five things my ex-wife hates!
