I know nothing about these kinds of things, but it just feels like it would be cool if cornell hired Ryan Wittman.

On one hand, totally ridiculous, he's only 28 and is graduate asst for boston college. I dont think it would be possible to find anyone less experienced or less qualified.

On the other hand, he is the best player in the history of cornell basketball and led his team to 3 straight ivy titles and a sw 16 run his senior year..... and his dad has been nba coach for many years. If he could teach kids to shoot like him then it would be a no brainer.

how about this scenario... what if his dad gets canned and decides he's going to retire or semi-retire from coaching... but as his last gig he takes coaching job at cornell for a couple years with Ryan as his asst and head coach in waiting.

Cronin will return to Cincinnati, turning down the UNLV job.
Brian Gregory out at Georgia Tech.
Jerod Haase from UAB gets the Stanford job. Haase worked under Roy Williams for 12 years
Mike Dunleavy Sr to be named head coach at Tulane?

Current Army associate head coach Jimmy Allen is receiving a lot of support for this job. Not only has he been on the staff at the Academy for the past six seasons, his father is a West Point graduate who later became a chemistry professor there.

  • Donyell Marshall’s has interviewed at Central Connecticut
Bryce Drew (Valparaiso) and Andy Enfield (USC), Kevin Keats (UNC-Wilmington) and Brandin Knight (Pitt assistant) have been mentioned for the Pitt job. Keats may be at a disadvantage since he was an assistant at Louisville from 2011-14, when the prostitution scandal occurred. His name hasn't been mentioned in that mess but schools may avoid him anyway

Mark Price, who just completed his first season as coach of the Charlotte 49ers, issued a statement Saturday saying he's not interested in the vacancy at Georgia Tech.

"I wish my alma mater Georgia Tech well in its search for a new head coach," Price said in a statement Saturday. "I am committed to the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball program."

If you are a UC fan, you should cry, because Cronin staying means the Bearcats will continue to be just mediocre...and little brother to city rival Xavier.
Give Cronin credit; he played the UC administration for fools and got a bit more money, and more guaranteed money.

sounds like it could be Kevin Stallings from Vanderbilt taking the Pitt job.

New Mexico State head coach Marvin Menzies and Arkansas Little Rock head coach Chris Beard appear to be the latest targets at UNLV. It is believed that both have interviewed at some point over the past 24 hours.

I agree. I think Pitt could shoot higher. On the other hand, Stallings did pretty well at Vandy, especially considering their higher academic requirements

UNLV is expected to hire Arkansas-Little Rock's Chris Beard as its next head coach, sources told ESPN.

Beard met with UNLV officials over the weekend and is on the verge of signing a five-year deal.

"Very close," one source said. "Not quite done."
