1. Lack of staffing is an issue at every company. Everyone has limited resources based on the amount of products they have to support.
2. They prioritize based on profitability (hopefully).
3. Its not that they dont care, they would not have come out with a revised version (3.0) if that was the case and they would let this product die. The fact that they worked on it means it brings enough cash in to allocate resources and keep users engaged as well as compete in the market. Users will spend this money elsewhere.
4. Its not there #1 product, but don't be fooled into thinking that this product is not important. This was an acquisition, meaning they saw potential in profit margins that were sustainable if they keep those 300 users spending at the same rate.
All that to say, that while they might not have a dedicated staff, you bet they are paying attention, but I bet their metrics are telling them that they are ok to continue how they have been operating. All I am saying with little to no risk, they probably could continue to build and generate new users if they truly just put a little more effort in communication and a structure with users that play this game. Its aparent from just reading through this forum which is one of the most active on the WIS site.
