What about debt? Why do most poor people drop out after two years?

Debt is not needed. You could take a job to pay for living. Your tuition is covered by federal aid.

I think that are a handful of factors at play as to why you see more poor people drop out. including, but not limited to,

1. They don't grow up with parents who were financially successful. People tend to follow the paths of their parents.

2. College is much tougher for the poor. Warren Buffets kids probably did not have to work while in college. A kid with poor parents is going to either have to rack up tremendous amounts of debt or get a job. Once again, this comes down to how bad do you want it.

I know that it is not your intention, and therefore they are not actually racist, but you act like people of color are not able to succeed without the government intervening. If I were African American, I would find that very offensive.

In all fairness, what do you expect from a central Kansas public school graduate who thinks poor people there face the same challenges as those is Detroit or Chicago, or Haiti, or Africa?
