I never liked a true snake format, for the obvious reason that (in general), the early position always has an advantage. Round 1 players are generally more valuable than round 2 players and the early positions have the better picks in the rounds that are more advantageous. Same for rounds 3 and 4, rounds 5 and 6, rounds 7 and 8, etc.
A reversal should be instituted at some point to offset this value - especially if it's a draft with an odd number of rounds. But again, it all depends on where the gap is...
It will be interesting to see the average win% by draft pick, once enough data is available.
