2nd Mauch in six days. Suboptimal.
8/10/2026 12:37 PM
Much needed schwarze in the PM2 cycle
8/12/2026 6:34 PM
Back to back schwarzes for the first time in my tempestuous history in this tournament

Barring a 6-0 pm2, going to be under .500 for this block
8/13/2026 2:04 PM
This was my worst 1/6 and it was a roller-coaster..... started really badly going 10 games under .500 then brought it back over .500 and had a really bad last day today going 6-12 finishing 4 games under

Sitting 32nd I'll need a great last 1/6 to get back in the cage

Well if you heat up and I go 1-5 a few more times like I did this am maybe you’ll move up and take my spot, haha

interesting 1-0 loss in 14 innings this AM, kind of spotlights what I dont understand about whatif. Opponents SP is at 100% goes 6, and then we get to the bullpen. First reliever is at 96% and throws a shutout inning, ok no problem. 2nd reliever at 93% throws a shutout innings, ok less ideal, but 93 isnt terrible. Next reliever is at 90% and throws 4 shutout innings, ok at what point is fatigue coming into play, or at least when should it? Starting at 90% means as the innings go by he's getting lower and lower and seemingly less effective? Reliever 5 comes in at 80% and throws 1.1 shutout innings, and then the final reliever at 66% comes in to get the last 2 outs. Fatigue was not an issue for any of these pitchers? Again what is the point of fatigue then?

Solid 5-1 this morning followed up by a Mauch

Don’t even know what to make of these teams anymore

I've been wondering the same thing and the reply I got was that, even at 80% of his RL stats it's not that big of a difference when you account those numbers over a full season.... not sure it makes sense but it got me using more and more lower IP/PA players than ever before

It's a roll of the dice. Fatigue changes the odds of the outcomes, but sometimes the dice go against you.

Sometimes pushing a fatigued pitcher to the limit works in real life (Madison Bumgarner, 2014 WS). Usually it doesn't (Matt Harvey, 2015 WS).

Well it's pretty much over for me now, it was fun to finally be in contention almost til the end. Much better than my previous experiences.
I made 2 mistakes in this year.
First one was entering my 80m team in an open league. It was good and it made the playoffs but it started so bad that I changed my starters on the WW. The rest was good but I changed the whole team and ended up with a bad one.
Second mistake was my starting rotation in the 70M league had too few IP. I had a good rotation with enough IP but I decided to go with better pitchers with lower IP. I was in a playoff spot until the halfway mark.

Well there's always next year. GL to all moving forward
