I've noticed people around here have a hard time with the concept of "rhetorical" questions.

Brewers score, but ninth inning rally ends with rookie C Jonathon Lucroy flying to right with bases loaded; Brewers lose 8-7 and reach the coveted 40-loss mark!
6/20/2010 6:56 AM
Trevor Hoffman pitches scoreless eighth (true story), Brewers hit three consecutive doubles in ninth and score five runs to win 6-1.

Narveson does his usual "three runs allowed in the first followed by four shutout innings" thing, drives home the lead run in the fifth, and gets his sixth win of the season as Ken Macha actually removes a reliever (Coffey) mid-inning, going to Axford with one on and none out in the eighth. Axford gets out of the jam with some help from a liner right into his glove and then pitches the ninth as well. Brewers win 7-5.

Kermit = 3-2 this season.

Even with a three-run lead in the ninth, Macha goes for the second straight game to Axford despite his having thrown 31 pitches in a two-out save the day before. Joe Mauer drives in a run with a double, but Axford gets the final out and the Brewers win 5-3.

Gallardo with another shutout, and Weeks continues his hot hitting. I cannot believe we just swept the Twins. When's the last time that happened?
6/24/2010 4:43 PM
I think they said it was 1989 the last time we swept them at home.
6/24/2010 4:50 PM
1988 is what they said on the Twins broadcast.
6/24/2010 4:56 PM

We were actually still competitive back then.

Lucroy and Gomez hit back-to-back jacks (Lucroy's first MLB homer) and the Brewers beat Seattle 8-3 to open the last interleague series of the season.
6/26/2010 11:37 AM
Randy Wolf somehow figures out a way to allow five runs to the Mariners, Brewers lose 5-4.
6/27/2010 1:34 AM
Chris Narveson allows no runs after the first inning, which is par for the course, but also manages a scoreless first, which is CRAZY. Brewers shut out the M's 3-0.

Shelled by the Astros. Nice.
