Flames Thread: Scoring is overrated Topic

well, the first two periods weren't a bad game.  too many stupid penalties for calgary, but their PK stepped up and kept it interesting.  after the shorty though, they just collapsed.  i stopped watching after 5-2 and just fastforwarded the rest of the game.  (had it on my PVR).  wasn't a hot goalie or bad reffing that beat us, it was lack of discipline.  scoring more goals might have helped too, but taking so many penalties, and bad ones at that, makes it hard to keep anything going.  :>

Look for me, I will be in row one... the one laughing when the Orangutan backs down from a challenge until the linesmen get involved and he can be tough again
Boy did I ever call this one.. lol

Whats the point of taking on Jackman when ur up by 4-5 goals?

Its not that he didnt take him on, its that he waited to do any response until the linesmen got in there... waited till it was safe to act tough.. like always

Does Bieksa really need to prove himself? he's not Matt Cooke..youve seen him drop the gloves and hammer guys out of his weight classs..I think his rep has stopped guys from taking him on,its the Rypien theory..sure if the opponent is 50 -70  lbs heavier maybe he has a tough time..but let me see a 185 -200 lb guy beat Rypien or Bieksa..these guys are 1-2 in the middleweight div in the league..if they fight Boogaard and give up 85lbs and get beat thats totally different..or Eager who wants to wrestle and not fight thats BS

not  to mention he had pneumonia, was almost scratched..it was a effort just to play..your just a hater

well, i got a bonus game tonight.  realized about an hour before game time that the game was on WGN, a channel i get.

wasn't a bad game.  still taking bad penalties, but not as many as against the canucks.  most were just unfortunate accidents.  powerplay started strong, but then fizzled a little.  couple of good chances at the end of the game to tie it.  could have been better, but at least it wasn't a blowout.  :>

Actually that Flames game was chippier than the Canucks game which was weird. Very competitive and could have gone either way. Not a good night for me personally however, having Iggy, Tanguay AND Kane in my pools lol.

Bieksa has to beat em to be better than em... not back down.. Adams is at the bottom of the division, beating him is like Boogie beating down Stortini... wel

Totally agree on Rypien though.. that guy can throw down and hammer guys and is more than willing to go with all comers and challengers

Sounds like I missed a rare exciting Flames game last night??
12/6/2010 11:46 AM
well, wasn't exactly exciting, but it was a decent game.  neither team was spectacular, but neither team was terrible either.  :>
