I have heard that the guy might never have even been in British intelligence. There is so much disinformation out there, so many versions. Hopefully we find out the real story...Buzzfeed put in the disclaimer that the dossier was unverified, and had errors.

Unless it is verified, the only NEWS to this is that Obama, Trump and 8 congressmen involved in intelligence were briefed on the dossier. Fwiw, most news outlets chose not to publish it...including the NY Times and Washington Post.

So if it big news, why no coverage? Why did most not publish? Is it real, or tabloid fodder? Is said to read like a spy novel...

My guess is extreme caution. "They" were just wrong about a big issue (election) bigly! As this whole issue has to do with espionage and an election for President wherein a foreign "entity" tried to influence the outcome (for whatever reason, the Russkies prefer Frump) I would just bet any serious "real" journalist is gonna tread pretty carefully until they have the full scoop nailed (probably through multiple sources and careful layers of examination.

I read that most Democrats truly believe that Russia tampered with votes and ballot boxes. That has been proven false.

Did they have an impact on the voter's decision process? Perhaps, but I doubt anyone can put a number on it. Trump won the electorate by a substantial margin. The impact likely did not have enough to offset his win...

We don't know Putin's thinking, so we don't know his preference. He did have an axe to grind with Hillary, going back to her statement of Putin's election being rigged. Perhaps is a retaliation, and not preferential treatment towards Trump...

Yes. I think credible journalism distances itself from tabloids by verification prior to print...

This story has been making the rounds in DC for months. There hasn't been verification so most news outlets sat on it.
