the 2-3 update is TRASH! Topic

Didn't say you should be ashamed, just saying you look like an idiot calling somebody out for cherrypicking when you were the worse offender of the 2.

U/S - if you got the goods, we'll all know soon enough, I would say half the really good d2/d3 coaches struggle with d1, the other half dominate it, billy definitely has done well in d1 .... interestingly, most sort of lose their d2/d3 skills when they just play d1, the two games are different .... d2/d3 seems a bit boring and sort of unfair when you get into playing d1, at least it did for me, although I do have one of each, mostly so I can answer sitemails asking for help and see the effects of the new engine on the different levels of the game.

as far as winning with all 99 ath / sp guys, it would be easy, except when you play in a conference where near everyone is that good and in a world, where 30 or 40 coaches have great teams, and have great resumes .... then all that is left is gameplanning and / or luck .... coaches like daalter, lostmyth and billyg and many before them, have had their share of luck at the d1 level, to the point most recognize it as a skill.  But, until you do it in the big leagues at the grown up table, many will be skeptical.

After your little exchange here with billy, going to be interesting to watch you coach in d1, obviously, we are expecting big things from you.
thats fine with me. i expect people are mature enough to realize i don't have a colorado of a team at d1. i skipped d2 and went to d1 at knight and had to take what i can get. i made that choice and i'm gonna see if i can excute the path i hoping will be there down the road. i understand i'm gonna have bumps in the road, but to see coach after coach acting like there is blood in the water cause i'm not succeeding with a bad team a d1 against one of the hardest schedule at d1 is a joke. my complaint in this thread is about gameplanning not winning or losing each contest. it is an overall view that i've seen a shift that started with my d2 team and has followed my d1 team. i didn't post cause of one low moment in a season.

and the end of the day i made a fair challenge to billy and he back peddled faster then a fat girl at a gym. instead of being a man he wants to have a showdown with his a+ prestige d2 school against my c+ prestige school. ooooh what a big man. if your gonna act like your hot stuff then deliver on your boasts, but if you can't handle it, then shut up. who doesn't think thats fair?????

and billy - this is not the same discussion as you and I had - but do you recall when you started d1 and you and I discussed your theory that you should win the national title 90% of the time, and I tried to convince you that the best anyone could hope for in d1 might be 20-25% - reading this reminded me of those exchanges anyhow - LOL???
um... maybe? i seem to recall saying i had a d2 team i thought could win 80%, and that you thought the max was maybe 50%, maybe 25% in d1? is that the one? i am pretty sure i have bet on one of my d1 teams to win the title at fair odds, and won, but i can't recall ever thinking i was anywhere close to 90%.

ahh... or are you talking about in that one coin flip dynasty discussion? i may have went a bit overboard in that one... in my defense, that was when i was doing the best i'd ever done, so it sure didn't seem like flipping coins to me. and literally every single person disagreed with me, which probably should have raised a flag, but it more felt like people ganging up, which pushed me in the wrong direction. but anyway, if i said 90% there, i can only guess i meant in the title game - i have played many titles games, even at d1, where i felt comfortably 90% or higher to win, once i was at the title game. but definitely not 90% over a prolonged period! or even in a single season. honestly, i don't remember that clearly, but i do know i said a couple things in 1 thread in particular that were definitely over the top =)

tell me this cburton was my offer to billy fair or not? your response to that question holds the balance of if you are blocked or not blocked. i won't tolerate a troll response.

LOL - does a fat girl really backpedal that quickly? maybe in your real life experiences, you have seen that happen many times, but i haven't!  ;)

also.. a colorado of a team? really, i took over a poor team there. of all the titles i've won, by far, i think my 1st at colorado is my most impressive. i can't even think of another candidate? especially because it was only my 7th d1 season... by d1 season 15, i had 5 titles, before i moved onto a total rebuild which coincided with a rapid loss of interest. so, there is your barometer if you want to show me up. good luck!

P.S. - i also took over a d+ team as my first in d1, to your c-, so you shouldn't have a problem =)

Lots of childish name calling and personal attacks in this thread, I think this is what drives a lot of people away from the game.

People need to man up than. You can always leave it up to Skunk to incite people, eventhough he 100% does it for kicks, and you guys fall for it everytime.

colorado is so difficult to recruit with ........oh all that bcs money must've been tough to deal with.........and a sizable lack of neighboring rivals as compared to east coast teams must've really been brutal.......oh god how did you ever pull off such a turnaround.

if you had breasts, which you might, i would say yes to your question. i have seen a fat girl backpedal, it was you.

i don't agree kmason. in this thread its fine. he goes into other threads, new coaches asking for help, and pulls the same crap. thats really just a dick move, no matter how you spin it.

its really dick of me that i go into those threads and give honest responses when most coaches ***** foot around. i've had coach after coach who have started those types of thread thank me for being honest. yes it may be brutally honest, but i always try to help out new coaches. you can knock me for this or that, but you can't for being too helpful. grow a sack and except my challenge.
2/23/2011 7:17 PM
I really don't care about your challenge with billy.  I'm not concerned with who is the better coach.  You can do the same stuff in real basketball, do you ever come up with a definitive answer?  My only purpose in this thread was early on to tell you your reasons for saying gamplanning was broken were out of whack, and now to tell you you poached a great team and to call anybody else out for doing the same is just silly.
2/23/2011 7:31 PM
wait a second don't try to backpedal as well. i asked you a straight question, was my offer to billy fair or not? answer that for me.

i didn't ask you if you cared or not. just answer the question i want to determine if your a troll or not. if your at least an honest person or someone of low standard.
