8th inning.
Nomura (1b) pinch hits for Bravo (C)
Rapp (CF) pinch runs for Astacio (1b)
Nomura remains in the game AT 1B. Not catcher. Not SS. FIRST BASE.
Baker enters the game AT CATCHER.
It's called a double switch, dumbass. It's in the management console.
OH MY GOD!!!! AND HOW DID THE SIM KNOW!!!!! IT MUST HAVE READ MY MIND!!!!!
A double switch brings in yet another player from the bench to play C. What apollo is talking about is switching a player's position who's already in the lineup.
An example:
Top of the 9th inning, Smith (1B/LF) pinch hits for Jones (2B). Let's assume, for the purposes of this example, that there are no 2B type players available on the bench.
Bottom of the 9th, Fraser (LF/2B) moves from LF to 2B, and Smith plays in LF
That's a better defensive alignment than keeping Smith in at 2B, isn't it?
