Taking Chris Paul at # 7 was predictable? Kevin Love and his terrible defense taken at # 31 was predictable? Mookie Blalock at # 26 was predictable?
Well, there are two burning questions I really wish someone can answer me.
1. Which spot would have been safe spot for me to drop down to and still pick up Chris Paul?
2. Among the players already drafted, which player offers the package Chris Paul have, that is combination of high usage+defense+assist%+decent Dreb% at PG spot + some 3PM ? Or, is there a viable 2 player combo, again among the players already drafted, that will have high average in usage, ast%, dreb%, defense, and 3PM while still leaving good enough room to pick up some oreb% and efficient scoring in other spots?
I was unable to find good answers to question 2, which forced me to question1, again for which I had no good answer to, thus my reach for CP. Had I known that David Robinson would drop down to 15th spot, or Hakeem would return to being a 1st round pick, I would have traded down for those spots, as there are things you can hope for at 15th or lower, but given the history, I doubt 15th would be safe spot to pick up David Robinson. As for Hakeem, the reason is that I would have loved to try Hakeem+Jerry Lucas combo . Anyway , if anyone can give me good answer to question 1 or 2, I would be grateful, and won't make this kind of reach again.
