I didn't see the movie but I'm sure Chuck Norris put a beatdown on Lee at some point.  It's Chuck Norris!!!

9 seems weird.   Two divisions of 6 teams.  5 games against your division.   Seems like you'd play 3 against the other division and rotate the teams every other season.  I'm pretty sure that's how the SEC does it.    Stupid, fatass midwesterners.

Everyone knows the Big Ten wants Notre Dame.  I think they'd go after Pittsburgh and West Virginia from the Big East.   Not sure who'd be #4 but, if the Big 12 gets raided by they Pac-10, they'd be someone looking for a conference.

What do you think about Big Ten commish Delany's statement  "I think the Big Ten is the Big Ten no matter what the number is."?

I think he might need a math lesson.   But he's needed it for quite awhile.

Anything that you could think of that would cause this?  FYI, owner had plenty in the Player Budget.

8/2/2010 3:28 PM I did have a horrendous year after I took over this team mid-season.
8/2/2010 3:28 PM I made a financial mistake and was unable to promote any pitchers to the ml and my roster was locked. Other than that, the next two years I didn't even finish last in my division so I'm not sure what you mean.

He says it's a financial mistake so you'd assume he didn't have cap space.  The only other way he'd be unable to promote pitchers to the BL would be because he had none on the 40.   Of course, he could remove some position players from the 40 and add pitchers but that's another story.   My guess is he was tankedy tank tanking.

Isn't the bigger issue the disparity between home/away games if you have an uneven number of games?

Is AJ Burnett back to sucking again or was yesterday just a bump in the road?

The Cubs have given up 26 hits in a game only twice in their history, both times to Milwaukee teams (Braves in 1957, Brewers in 2010). How embarrassing is that?

What will happen first: ARod's 600th homer, Albert Haynesworth passes his conditioning test, or Brett Favre reports to camp?

Farm Aid will be held at Miller Park this year. Is it safe to say that will be the best performance seen at Miller Park in 2010?

No.  You'll have 5 conference home/4 away one season and vice versa the next season.   And they'll just schedule their out of conference games differently to make sure they have enough home games.  Teams used to play 6/5 before the schedule was expanded.  I think some were even 7/4 as they scheduled home games against all the cupcakes.

AJ will likely suck intermittently throughout his career.

Uber.

Cleveland will throw a benefit dinner to honor LeBron before any of those happen.

Better than watching a baseball game there.

You don't see a problem with a conference title being determined based on unequal home/away schedules? Michigan has four home games, Ohio State has five. OSU wins their division by one game. Not an issue?

8/3/2010 10:46 AM
I didn't have a problem with the national title being determined by an unequal number of home games.    Anyway, there will be two divisions.   One division plays 5/4, the other plays 4/5.   Then they swap the next season.   And the conference title will be determined by the CONFERENCE TITLE GAME that will be played between the division winners.  Lastly, I'm pretty sure OSU and Michigan only play once a year.  That means one gets a home game and the other does not.   That's no more/less fair that 5/4 or 4/5.

Jay Glazer is reporting that Brett Favre is retiring. You believe it?
