I still feel like it could be worse for me. I have to think Pex wins a ring in 2, 3, or 5. I don't think this team has enough to win World 4, but it should take our lunch routinely.

Yep, I put almost all my worst seasons on this team. Sidewinder (Budd) was the least of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad after all, being a redneck alcoholic. I'll be very surprised if this team makes the playoffs.

MJ is gonna go after Luka the way he and Pip defended Kukoc in the Olympics

The few evals I did last night were a bunch of incoherent ramblings about how I would have built your teams better than you did. It was pretty terrible and I trashed them. Sim Gods would have punished me severely.

I did rank the teams though...


1. benhoidal - Took a risk in ignoring the backcourt with the first three picks, but it paid off when he was able to get Deron and Danny Green.

2. dbkc - Really nice job of covering ast% on the two teams without Simmons.

3. ashamael - Initial thought was disappointment that ash copied kinoa. But after looking at the options in round 2/3 for his team, I think it's clear Frazier/Kyrie were the best picks. Especially Frazier.

4. pexetera - Pex getting Marshall and Butler in the 4th/5th was bad for the league.

5. mptrey - Ho Grant.

6. 24kpyrite - He's got an amazing team around him. Can Lillard produce?

7. pharrop - It's easy to forget how awesome those SF seasons are from Giannis.

8. dh555 - If sim-matchup testing is to be believed(?), my team is a lot tougher than I thought.

9. tarheel1991 - The king of clean does it again!

10. robusk - Getting Porter and Sammy when you did was clutch. Very similar to my own team. I have better defense but you have Durant.

11. gerryred - I loved that you grabbed Price and Lowry when you did. Brand keeps this team from contending tho.

12. jhsukow - No idea what to make of this team so #12 felt right haha.

13. jcred5 - Defense is looking scary but I don't think Dr. J can carry the offense.

14. jpevans31 - Too much pressure on Klay. I think he struggles again.

15. cmcafeeky - Very similar to dbkc's team that finished 2nd, but I don't see a Zo on this team.

16. bds9992 - Cheeks? HATE! HATE! HATE!

17. mikee1 - I think Silas is overrated in this league.

18. longtallbrad - Some really nice pieces but I don't really like how it all fits together.

19. ysw128 - Don't know how important it actually will be but playing 96% or 97% McHale at SF bugs me.

20. amerk1180 - Where is 89-90 D-Rob? Gotta use that one.

21. goetz93 - 96-97 Mason should have been paired up with a SF Barkley.

22. 20ks - Where are the role players? Paul George should be playing the 2, not the 3.

23. dskantor - I'm shocked you didn't use any of the 3 MVP Kareem's from Savage 1. Makes no sense to me.

24. albiband0 - I thought not pairing Camby with Towns in round 3 was a huge mistake. I think you struggle on defense and on the glass.

i dont know when they hired samantha b. but she was all over the roster mistakes that needed fixing...we are all good to go now

I think bds (Lebron is still Lebron) and albi (I see a couple pretty tough squads if he's playing the right guys) are too low. Haven't looked closely enough to see who I think is too high, other than my bold prediction is that ben isn't going to win it all (not exactly that bold given how hard it is for any one owner to win). I think he's top 3-5 but not best. I'd bet on dBKC if anyone (again without having looked too closely).

14th, dh? Guess I'm going to game-plan a lot to prove ya wrong. I have no illusions about making the top-5, but I think I can finish 8th again... Ok, maybe just 10th, but better than 14th :)

Yeah, they were the best picks. The appearance of a copy is partly a coincidence, partly my influence on team building here for the past ... oh ... 13 years. Taking no credit from kinoa from season one, but those teams he built just screamed classic Ash teams... with not quite as much rebounding. My teams would crush his on the boards.

Everything was shaped by the fact that I will struggle to get 30 MPG from my first two picks. Most of the issues with my team were the result of trying to counter that. F'ing Durant. And you SOBs all knew I would do it.

I guess I should have talked to tarheel1991.

I probably wouldn't have been much help. I don't think Durant/Chandler is where I went wrong (not that I did terrible last time, just didn't have any great teams).

And you must be using different Durants than me - I think I used the 2300-minute one and the 2700-minute one but otherwise they all had 3000ish minutes.

Must have, I only have two that high. I am using:

2017

2018

And I don't think they were the wrong picks. I just don't know how feasible a top five finish is when you first two picks average 2500 minutes / season.
