The Brewers have told Dave Bush to file for free agency and get himself some offers, an indication that they are moving in another direction.

Though pitching coach Rick Peterson signed a two-year deal last year, the Brewers have told Roenicke that they are willing to eat the deal and let Roenicke bring in his own pitching coach. Dale Sveum, however, is set as hitting coach after inking a two-year deal last month.

11/15/2010 7:35 PM
That remains to be seen.

The Brewers, in desparate need of pitching help, have made an offer to free agent... Eric Hinske [sigh].

Hinske is also thought to be wanted by the Braves, so he will have to decide between his hometown team and a contender.

Boggs has an option left, at least.

Hinske signs a deal with Atlanta that includes an option for 2012.

Brewers decline to tender contracts to reliever Todd Coffey and reserve IF/OF Joe Inglett.

The Milwaukee sports scene is now devoid of Charlie Vs, as Carlos Villanueva has been traded to the Blue Jays for the ever-popular "player to be named later".
