What's hilarious about this is that your desire to pick a fight with me backs you into such a tight corner that you can't even state your opinion.

You end up just railing against the fact that I had the nerve to state my opinion.

Like. "how DARE you say what you think might happen in the 2016 election in the 2016 Presidential Race thread. Why yes, today is my first day on the internet, thanks for asking."

I'm backed into a tight corner?

You're funny.  You amuse me.  Like a clown.

Here's what's funny about this whole conversation:

1)  You say "we'll go blue in the general" as if it's a statement of fact.
2)  I question why you say that?
3)  You respond "because we will".
4)  I mock as "Nostradumbass".  Because once again, you state your opinions as if they are indisputable fact.
5)  You turn around and insist that I "don't disagree that California will probably go blue", when I said NOTHING about what I did or didn't think California would do.
6)  You continue to try to get me to commit to a prediction, AFTER I pointed out that it's foolish to make predictions about who will win an election 14 months from now when you DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO WILL BE ON THE ******* BALLOT.

Like I said.  You amuse me.  Like a clown.
LOL at tec.

Look, man. Your doctor can probably get that stick removed...assuming you want it removed.
1)  You say "we'll go blue in the general" as if it's a statement of fact.

Like I said in this post:
you just don't like that I didn't qualify "will" with "probably" or "likely?"
Obviously, when I said CA will go blue in the general, it was my opinion based on what I think is the likely outcome. You get all bent out of shape when someone offers their opinion on something On. An. Internet. Message. Board.

If you had the balls to answer (and it's such a weird/small thing to be afraid to answer), I'd be willing to bet that you also think it's likely that CA will go blue in the general EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T KNOW WHO WILL BE ON THE ******* BALLOT.

If you believe California has a chance of being won by a Republican in 2016, please find someplace else to display your ignorance.

Can BL tell me if the American League or the National League will win the World Series in six weeks or so?

Can BL tell me if the AFC or the NFC will win the Super Bowl in 4 1/2 months or so?

I'd really like to hear his opinion on these two questions.

Those two things aren't equal at all with a political structure. You are just flailing away with stupid commentary. If you believe California has a chance of being won by a Republican, then this thread is not the right one for you.

Seeing that we don't know who the Democratic or Republican candidates will be on the ballot, it's kind of silly to be able to say with any level of confidence what the electoral results will be.

No it isn't. We know, on the Democratic side, that the nominee is probably Clinton. We know, based on polling, that Clinton will probably beat any of the likely GOP nominees.

Saying that it's likely that the state will go blue in 2016 is a reasonable opinion.

Saying that we couldn't possibly guess which party will carry California in 2016 is the work of a low-power cranium.

A lot can change in 10 months.  Clinton's campaign could implode over something already on the table, or over something completely new or currently unknown that comes up between now and the Democratic convention.

So despite your seemingly strong desire that Hillary's your girl in '16, she has so much political baggage that I wouldn't call her a lock just yet.
