Rosenthal reporting that the Brewers will sign Mark Kotsay to a major league deal, which will not be announced immediately as the 40-man roster is currently full.

Rickie Weeks and the Brewers have agreed on a new contract, on the eve of Weeks' arbitration hearing. Rosenthal is saying four years plus and option for fifth, with the option contingent on availability in Years 3 and 4. Total value $50M with option.

Rickie Weak getting $50M is a shocker. 

Second-year catcher Jonathan Lucroy broke his right pinky finger during a pitch-blocking drill and will likely be out for an extended period. He will see a specialist to determine the likely time frame.

The team's other catchers are not exactly inspiring.

Where ya from, kermit?  I lived in Mukwonago and Menomonee Falls for 11 years there.  Even though I was a Braves fan......I slowly started rooting for the Brew Crew.  Went to last game at County stadium and the first game at Miller Park.  Also attended the All star home run derby and was there to see Mark McGwire hit home run #64.  Good times man!

Oh yeah....also lived in Muskego for a lil while.
