Oh what the hell, I'll post the standings as they look now (10/07 am). Note that Red = Playoff team. Blue = Advance to round 2. Also, some teams in red are still playing. The "Rd2" column lists the number of teams that have advanced. The decimal means that a team is still playing in round 1. So for example, sgsmith shows two teams in blue (they won their round 1 series). Plus he has one more team that is still playing.... which means three of his teams have already been eliminated.

Points is not projected points, but actual current points scored.

I was literally 2 wins short of 4 playoff teams with both my $80 and $90m teams missing a spot (or at least a play-in-game) by 1 win each. Both of them lost either their final game or the 2nd to last game to send them home rather than moving forward. Disappointing, but there is always next season. At least I have a chance to play spoiler with my playoff teams...

With two of my 3 playoff teams out, I think my chances are now officially nil. To the many owners who will finish ahead of me, congrats. And to the 24 of you advancing, good luck in round 2.

I've been on the site for about 3 years, and I like to think I know what I'm doing for the most part, but there's nothing like reading the thoughts of all those owners (and getting schooled by many of them) to really force you to stop, think, and learn.

Thanks to everyone for the great competition, and thanks as always to schwarze for the heroic effort involved in running this behemoth.

The maximum number of points that a round 2 team can accumulate (from this point forward) is 18. That means #40 ronthegenius can hit a maximum of 551 points if both his remaining two teams win the W.S.

My only remaining team won its LCS. WS bound! They're fatigued, but keep soldering on...My starting pitching (Mike Scott, Sutton and Nolan Ryan) have done yeoman's work. Hopefully they've got enough to pull this off...
