Ok, another queston I hope hasn't been answered. Is there a limit to the number of each component you can have? I mean, I can use as many, or as little, as I want as long as I meet requirements, right?

Where are the years per admin listed?
12/21/2009 5:56 PM

Correct. A guy with 12 RL starts could start a max of 20 games. A guy with 23 RL starts could start a max of 28.

Sorry, gentlemen. Away from the computer all day. Reviewing the questions right now.

Habsfan - If a Catcher has infielder ratings, am I allowed to draft him as an IF? YES

Toddleduc - Gotcha...So then we match up each of the 5 Teams/Seasons to:

1) INFIELD
2) OUTFIELD
3) BATTERY (SP+C)
4) PEN
&
5) WILDCARD

Answer: You have those 5 seasons to work with. You can use any combination to make up your team as long as you use each season once. So you might go with the '73 Tribe for the battery, '03 Det for the IF, '63 Atl for the OF, '93 KC for the pen and take your 1 wildcard player from SD '83......just off the top of my head. Also, remember you have 2 twists, one pitcher and one position player.

Verynice - doesnt add up to 25 players. very confused here (in discussing the example)

Answer: I just wanted to give owners an idea of how their teams would look. I didn't get down to every last bench player or pitcher.

As far as SoxYanks comment that he had the '03 Cincy and '73 CHW and both sucked, here's what I found;

You're right about Cincy. Your best option might be to use the IF (Decent Boone and Jimenez) you could twist Casey to 2004. No pitching.

'73 ChiSox isn't bad in that you can use Wood as your WC and twist him to '72. 397 IPs at 1.06 WHIP. Started 49 games so you could go up to 54 starts with him in this league.

Joshkvt's comment - "No worse than the 63 Athletics. Not many powerhouses in Blend"

Indeed, my friend. I kinda like the '63 A's IF with Siebern twisted to '62.

73 redsox-inf

83 reds-of

03 braves-sp +c

93 brewers- bullpen

63 astros-wild card players 1 pitcher and 1 position player up or down 1 year

Is this correct?

Yes and no...the 1 pitcher / player up or down can be from any category/team

Correct Habs, thanks for all your help with questions.

Can the Wild Card Player ALSO be one of our 2 TWISTS?

Yes he can

A guy with 16 could start up to 21 games.
A guy with 20 could start up to 25 games.
A guy with 33 could start up to 38, and so on
Hit it right on the head Steveymer. Just trying to make sure we don't have Gibson or Maddux starting 60 games for anyone.

Sweet. If anyone is looking for a catcher, I'll have a-plenty. Sitemail me for details if it looks like you may be going without a good one. Not sure what I would be looking for, but perhaps a pitcher or maybe an OF
12/21/2009 10:09 PM
You are correct my Tainted friend.

Habs, another reason why I love this theme. With the way teams are put together some owners end up with a surplus of IFs, some with a surplus of OFs, SP, C or in the pen. Makes for great options for player movement.

Should you draft the best WC player even if you're set at that position and try to trade him? Or do you take the decent guy that can fill a hole? decisions, decisions......
