An unfortunate end to an otherwise fun league. I had to disqualify Redwingscup from the playoffs because of the 600 PA rule. He missed it by 6 PA. I had been checking periodically throughout the season to make sure guys were on schedule to meet this requirement and the 4 spot checks I made indicated that everybody should be ok. Towards the end of the season (when it became more critical to do so) I failed to check figuring that everybody would be ok. I was wrong. I am sure that it was an accidental oversight on his part but he in fact did miss it. He missed with Gary Carter. Being that he was in the WC hunt the whole way I am sure he would have made sure to get Gary Carter more PA. I am very sorry and apologize to Redwingscup for failing to take notice and issue a warning.

I'll post the final scores in the morning as has been my custom. I just don't feel like doing it right now.

an interesting side note... my teams usually stink at home, but this team was better at home than on the road.

i've long suspected that sparky just manages better with a lead and so that's why my teams do better on the road.

i wonder if having a great defense helped me... either by holding off the other team longer so i could score first, or by saving my bacon and keeping me in games when sparky did dumb things while trailing.
