So, I was watching North Greenville University play the University of Tampa play today in baseball. NGU's 1B is a UGA transfer. I've known the kid for quite a few years. Good kid. Good family. Justin Fields was UGA's backup QB. He is transferring to Ohio State. The two guys are buddies. The 1B is a white kid. Fields is black. During a game early in the season, the 1B was sitting in the student section watching the game. He felt Fields should be playing over Fromme. He made the comment to a couple of his buddies that "they need to play my nigga." A black girl sitting a couple of rows below hears him and reports him to administration. He is subsequently kicked out of school that next week. This just reminded me of how stupid of a society we live in sometimes. Should he have said it? Probably not. Did the punishment fit the crime? Not even close. In fact, Justin Fields and Elijah Holyfield both texted him saying that they were not offended by the comment.

IDK about the right but the LEFT, which surrounds me in Boston is more easily offended from my observations. Hell you cannot even assume a gender anymore.
