Don't over estimate the intellect of the masses...as it has become easier to find scandal these days, if the machine wants you to, it is also easier to survive scandal.

Hill will survive.

Disgruntled Republicans voted for Obama in 2008.... I promise you there are lots of disgruntled Democrats upset with 8 years of Obama. Did you see the news for Hillary? All her emails were recovered by the FBI... Including personal, Benghazi, etc. This should be interesting.... If Hillary drops out of the race who will dems vote for? Sanders? O'Malley?
Some Dems are unhappy with Obama, mostly because he isn't liberal enough.

So they're supporting Sanders. Not someone less liberal than Obama.

And Hillary isn't going anywhere.

Trump is the most Republican Republican out there.  There's no turning back on that now.

My wife was a Democrat in 2008... She's unhappy with Obama because he has been anything but transparent. She's mad because her taxes have gone up, as has her healthcare. She was promised less expensive healthcare and that she could keep her doctors. She's mad this nation under Obama is more divided than ever, and that cops are despised because of Obamas rhetoric. She's mad about the REAL LIFE mess obama has this country in.

In fact almost everyone I talk to in Chicago is not looking to go more liberal.... They are looking for someone that can follow through with promises. Both Democrats and Republicans are upset that politicians continue to lie to them.

Sanders has strong support right now... But if Hillary left the race and Joe Biden entered..... Where do you think Hillary's votes go? Biden has 14% and he's not even in the race. I bet Biden gets those votes before Sanders does - which is why I don't think the left wants to go MORE left.
Obama is a centrist. If you think he's too liberal, you aren't a Democrat.
That has nothing to do with what I just said. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Hmmm, let's break it down then, starting with your wife.

was a Democrat in 2008

Did she vote for Obama in 2008? 2012? If she didn't in 2012, she's almost certainly not voting Democrat in 2016. She's probably not still a Democrat.

She's unhappy with Obama

Because she isn't a Democrat anymore.

She's mad about the REAL LIFE mess obama has this country in.

She may need a dictionary to correct her definition of "mess."

In fact almost everyone I talk to in Chicago is not looking to go more liberal.

Then they aren't Democrats. Or they aren't Democrats who are upset with Obama.

Both Democrats and Republicans are upset that politicians continue to lie to them.

Said the person who is having trouble registering because he was born yesterday and you have to be 18 to vote.

Sanders has strong support right now

And it won't last. People on the extremes aren't viable in a general election. Carson has strong support now, too.

But if Hillary left the race

She won't.

and Joe Biden entered

He won't.

I don't think the left wants to go MORE left.

Not all of the left wants to go more left. Mostly, just the Democrats that are unhappy with Obama. And those Democrats certainly aren't voting for Trump.
My wife has never voted Republican.... Ever. She used to stick up for Barack when I would bash him. She'd stick the picture of me with your buddy Barack on our fireplace mantle just to bother me. I had him sign the 1st issue of Chicago magazine to my wife from Barack. She was a real Democrat alright, was, until Barack pushed her to independent... And now with the nudge of more reasonable minds like her parents and myself she will vote Republican. Other than the Iraq war she had no real problem with Bush.... But she has all kinds of problems with obama like police getting mowed down by angry thugs, racial divides, ISIS running rampant across the world, f'ed up healthcare (which is the industry she works in), and increased poverty and welfare in the nation.

I bet you there are more Democrats that feel like like my wife does and are looking to move more centrist than like those you describe looking to go to the Bernie Sanders camp. I sit in meetings with democrat politicians on a weekly basis here in Illinois... They are praying (yes, democrats pray) that Joe Biden enters the race because even they don't like Hillary, and are so far away from backing Sanders. They perked up a few weeks ago when Bidens name started to creep up. Says a lot to me about what Democrats actually think - at least in the great liberal state of Illinois.

I'm not a fan of Clinton at all. But there's no way in hell I'd vote for Trump, which was your original point and the point that I'm disagreeing with.

Democrats aren't going to vote for Trump, even if Sanders is the nominee.

Warn us when you're going to say something likely to induce a spit take.
