Luongo's not a choker. He's just a bad goalie. Even in a 7-2 win, you're shaking your head at this guy. Like struggling to make a save on a clearing from the Calgary zone. They changed his coach and his captaincy because..............he was playing bad. Nothing changed because he's still Luongo. Whether it was the injury a couple years ago or what I don't know. Doesn't matter, that's the life of a NHL goalie. Gillis will eventually have to swallow his ego on the contract signing and go with someone else, Schneider or....uh anybody!  I assume that same ego (Gillis) wants to be able to say he won a cup.

If the Canuck's had goaltending, Chicago isn't even in their league. Sorry.

Chicago isn't in their league? Ok now I know you're just saying that to get a rise out of Hawk fans...Is Turco/Crawford THAT much of an upgrade over Luongo? Last I checked bad goals weren't the ONLY reason Chicago has dominated the Canucks over the last 2+ seasons. Defensive zone coverage, puck battles & board play and faceoffs also have played a huge part. Perhaps the biggest reason is confidence. That being said, with both teams having good depth and being so evenly matched, perhaps the biggest thing working against Vancouver is that the Canucks don't seem to believe they can beat Chicago. Confidence is both the team's and Luongo's greatest enemy when it comes to games against the Hawks.

I would like to argue, Hawks tending is worse than Luigi

I'm not talking about the last 2 seasons. If the Canucks had goaltending this season, the Hawks wouldn't be a threat. Not that Chicago is the Canucks, or anyone else's, biggest obstacle anymore.

So basically peter, what you're saying is that the Hawks THIS SEASON have better goaltending than the Canucks...because when I look up and down the two lineups I still see two evenly matched teams.

I see the Hawks as more top-heavy on defense while the Canucks have more quantity over quality. At forward, both teams rely on their top 6 to do all the scoring and have filled out their lineup with grinders. Aside from that, I also think the Hawks have an edge behind the bench while the Canucks are better in goal. Stop me if I've missed something...

Me personally would rather have Turco rather than Luongo, spend the 5 million on a upgrade on D

Chicago won the cup with a ****** goalie so why can't we? Come on guys. He's are goalie so get over it.

Difference is our Sh!t goalie makes 10 million ,not 2 million , he is taking away the ability to upgrade at the deadline or at any time for that matter..he is costing a potential cup team  from its destiny because he sucks a$$

What you're saying is correct but I like the way the team looks as it is. I don't think we need to upgrade at all. I thought we did a pretty good job of that this summer. He definatly is not playing like a 10 million $$ goalie, I agree.

I know you think I'm an idiot for defending Luo all the time randle but I have been a fan of his since his days with Florida. I even called the Bert for Luo trade here at work and everyone thought I was stupid. My son is 6 and wants to play goal because of Luo. Luo is also his idol so sometime I take your comments kinda personal even though I know( or hope) you don't make them to **** me off. I don't hold any grudges against you for your opinions as long as I can make my points too.

For the record, Turco has won NIL on some pretty good teams also. Besides his pay cheque, I would put him in the same class as Luo right now.

Styckman, I have never made any comments to **** you off, I have my opinion and you are entitled to yours...iam the first to admit that i fly off the handle and make idiotic comments off the cuff without thinking...if you only knew how many times i wake up kicking myself for the comments i made the night before after a alcohol induced stupor... we are all Canuck fans and i wish i could contain  my  passion but as most posters here know ,i cant..I personally think Luongo is overated but i can respect your opinion and I know you are a very well respected hockey fan...keep doing what you do ..
im pretty sure most people want to hear your views over my rambling BS.. :>

WE ARE ALL CANUCKS. lol. It's only normal for fans of the same team to have differant opinions for sure. My best friend in Quesnel and I have had plenty of disagreement over the Canucks.

Atleast we arent Flames fans and that Cluster f*ck
12/3/2010 2:34 AM
Have you ever tried arguing with habs fans? I welcome ANY discussion with Canuck fans over hab fans as well lol.
12/3/2010 9:14 AM
Go to Vancouver and see if you still hold that opinion

Guys in here are pretty cool... but they are in the minority of Canuck fans
