Nyjer Morgan celebrates his birthday with a double, triple, and home run as the Brewers rally from a 7-0 deficit to stun the Twins 8-7 at Target Field. Morgan's two-run double ties the game in the ninth, and he scores the game-winner on George Kottaras' single.

After spending a week talking about how they wanted to get back to carrying 12 pitchers on the roster with Saito ready to return from the DL, the Brewers instead sent Tim Dillard back to Nashville before Saturday's game. Saito gets the win in relief. Kotsay's job somehow remains safe.

It looks like Roenicke was looking at  that pitching chart for the 8th inning again.

Stop me if you've heard this one before... Brewers take a five-run lead, then lose the game.

After holding off the Reds 5-4 in the opener of a four-game series, the Brewers fall behind 4-0 in the third but rally back to tie it in the fifth and then take a 5-4 lead on Mark Kotsay's sixth-inning homer. Zach Braddock promptly allows three runs in the seventh and the Brewers trail 7-5. Nyjer Morgan triples to drive in George Kottaras with one down in the ninth, but is cut down trying to score on Corey Hart's grounder to third. Two outs, one one. Prince up... he walks. Casey McGehee hits a soft roller down the third base line and beats it out for a single. Bases loaded. Mark Kotsay batting, 5-12 in his career against Cordero. Carlos Gomez pinch-runs for Prince at second. KOTSAY SINGLES!!!! GOMEZ SCORES!!!! BREWERS WIN!!!!

Craig Counsell's sacrifice fly following Rickie Weeks' beaning brings home the winning run. Mark Kotsay with another big hit off Cordero to tie the game eariler in the frame.

Brewers go to the Break at 49-43, tied for first in the division with St. Louis.

Brewers acquire Francisco Rodriguez from the Mets for two PTBNLs. Hopefully this means Loe won't pitch every eighth inning in the second half.

Will K-rod finish 21 more games for a 17.5 Million incentive clause to kick in?

No.

Nice. The Brewers were one of the 10 teams on K-Rod's "no-trade" list, but his previous agent never submitted that list to the team. When K-Rod hired Boras, the Mets figured that Boras would review things and realize that the no-trade list had not been submitted, so worked to trade him before that could happen.
