I think it is commonly accepted that it makes more sense.
I mean, that's probably true and all, but you don't want to be that guy that's always quoting **** in metric.

Also, dude, you need to track down Swamphawk and go drinking with him.  Assuming he doesn't kill you, you'll have some awesome stories

Hah.  I am not sure I can tolerate 5 minutes with him.  I would need another SHoFer in tow.

Metric is for *******.  I give the temp in Kelvins.
