Nice. The Brewers were one of the 10 teams on K-Rod's "no-trade" list, but his previous agent never submitted that list to the team. When K-Rod hired Boras, the Mets figured that Boras would review things and realize that the no-trade list had not been submitted, so worked to trade him before that could happen.
This is awsome.

K-Rod's contract has been renegotiated to make the 2012 option a mutual one, meaning that it no longer matters how many games he finishes.

Brewers are far and away the leading team in the majors at getting thrown out on the bases (53 times, compared to 47 for the next team on the list). Yay aggression!!!

The Brewers' 2-0 win over Chicago was marred by the loss of Rickie Weeks, who turned his left ankle WAY over trying to beat out an infield hit in the second inning. Did not look pretty, likely headed to DL. Brewers may be forced to jump into the trade market for an infielder.

Bill Hall (2B)  SF - AAA  7/28/2011
Hall (leg) has been designated for assignment by the Giants, Hank Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. With the arrival of Carlos Beltran, the Giants needed to clear space on their 40-man roster and Hall was easily the most expendable veteran at their disposal with the arrival of Jeff Keppinger last week. He'll almost certainly be given his release in the next 10 days.

Also, Brewers sent Wil Nieves to Atlanta for cash this week. C-A-S-H!!!! One dollar, to be exact. That's gotta be a boost to the ego.
