Allen world. Exhibition games over, non conference hasn't started. Want to redshirt a freshman. Go to manage roster and am unable to redshirt anyone. Help?

Waited too late.

i tried all day to no avail. bummer; said i could wait until non conf started. wanted to view my 2nd exhibition game result.

The game clearly states players can be redshirted up until / as long as they don't play in a non-exhibition game; non-conference games don't begin until tomorrow.

Well, I don't know the answer but I think its too late games sim at 2:10 in the morning you probably wont be up by then.

I have no idea what Ward is talking about.

Go to "coaching," then "manage rosters." I have a "redshirt" link all the way on the right side of the screen that appears to work to R/S a player. If yours isn't working I'd trying clearing the cache, cookies, history, etc and try again. If it's still not working I'd leave him off of my roster (to ensure he doesn't play in your first regular season game) and submit a ticket.

I agree about leaving him off the depth chart. That's the same as cutting down the roster size and playing a #lineup etc.

if he didnt actually get into a game, he should be available to redshirt - not that he will accept it happily, but it should be usable

if not, that is an important change from the old game that should be communicated to users

please STOP telling people wrong answers on things you simply don't know.
RS works the same as always, if the kid hasn't played in a game he is available to be red-shirted after the season has been going for weeks. PERIOD.
I red shirted a kid in Rupp in 3.0.... 5 or so games into the season.

I'm telling you, the redshirt option was not available for anyone on my team prior to that first game

I was able to redshirt in both Allen and Knight. It is now from the Menu in the Coaching => Manage Roster page. I red shirted both times before the end of exhibition games though.

You should be able to Red Shirt anyone who has not played in a non exhibition game though.

I did not specifically look after the final exhibition game and before the first regular season game .. I guess it is possible that the Redshirt options do not show up during that period .. though it would be a bug. I do know that you can redshirt during exhibition games. And that you can Red Shirt at least during the Non-Conference schedule (if someone has not played or was not recruited as ineligible).

If it doesnt work until a guy plays in a game, thats a change that people should know about.

I cant tell in Allen, already played a game and I got everyone into the game....

I definitely red shirted a guy (twice in two different worlds) who had not played before the non-conference schedule started.

I just redshirted a guard on my Brown team in Allen this morning after we played our first non-conference game. Just don't let the player play and you should still be able to redshirt him.
