How long has the pause been? Topic

How long has the pause been in worlds that have already rolled over? Phelan AND Tark should be rolling over on Thursday. Also, feel free to pass along any other information you feel is relevant to rolling over. Thanks.

The 48 hour rollover was extended to something like a week or so in Knight in order to better space out the Worlds. I would imagine it'll be similar for Phelan and Tark.

Best bet, one world will be released at 48 hours, but the other will be delayed for an additional week. Coin flip? I suppose we could ask admin if they have a schedule to share.

All results in HD 3.0 will be resolved via coin flip
So, less random than it is now...

Missouri was tactical in taking that recruit, in the new system literally would've been a coin flip between 3 teams.

What are you talking about?

Ahh... figured it out. You're talking about that C in Tark. Ok, so you were "tactical" in getting him, so what? It's irrelevant to this conversation.

you basically compared all of recruiting now to worse than a coin flip, with no background. It would seem that having a strategy (tactics) could overcome randomness does it not? Whereas in the new recruiting any strategy is still subject to an unknown randomizer deciding between multiple schools with a similar recruiting status.

So, in other words, I did exactly what you did in reference to HD 3.0 - except you are failing to account for the randomness of recruit generation (meaning who pops up close to you) and the fact that your theory on strategy overcoming randomness applies as equally to HD3 as it does HD2.

I've read a lot of your complaining about HD3 and I just don't agree. So why do you think rolling into a thread and dropping a flame that has nothing to do with the original topic of the thread is going to change the mind of anyone?

The beta did plenty to dispel regional isolation in recruiting. The fact that you keep referring to winning recruiting battles in HD3 as a "coin flip" demonstrates you have no desire to be honest about the process and are just trying to spread your discontent.

You calling wrong the fact that admin has acknowledged building in randomness to where teams leading on a recruit based upon all factors sometimes will mathematically lose to a team not leading is dishonest. Acknowledge your blind advocacy and support, my discontent isn't a secret.

Since I didn't do that, you continue to demonstrate your inability to have an honest discussion about the update. A coin-flip is a scenario where all outcomes have the same probability and that is clearly not the case in recruiting in HD3- no matter how much you lie about it. As they say, 'misery loves company' and you are a prime example. Countering your whining does not constitute advocacy, especially when you brought your unfounded complaints into a thread that had nothing to do with them. Leave me out of your b****-fest. There are dozens of other threads where you can go sulk.

Your intentional literal reading of an obvious analogy reveals either intentional dishonesty or your general ignorance. Either way, enjoy.
