$120M, 12x12 Draft
This theme is similar to the 16 x16 theme that I’ve run for years. In fact, I've run a few 12x12 leagues before. Here is a link. The rules vary a bit. The round 2 participants will be divided into two drafting groups based on round 1 final standings. Owners ranked 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc… will be in one drafting group #1. Owners ranked 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, etc… will be in drafting group #2. Division alignment will be based on rank (i.e., 1, 3, 5, 7 in NL East; 2, 4, 6, 8 in AL East). Each group will have its own separate draft.

Here are the 12x12 rules…
Each of the 24 owners will select one player who played 12-15 seasons (multi-team seasons count each team as a separate season). This player selection order will be determined randomly.

These 24 players will be unique so once a player has been selected, nobody else can select that same player, even if you are in a different group. However, you are allowed to change your pick, up to 24 hours after the last pick was made. (6 hitters and 6 pitchers will be selected within each group). Each person will site-mail me which season of your player you intend on using. Then, there will be an 11-round draft (for each group) where each person within the group will draft each of the other 11 players, selecting an un-drafted season for that player (in other words, a player with exactly 12 seasons will see each season get selected once). So including your nominated player, you will have 12 players on your roster. The other 13 players must be teammates of these 12 players, and you must have at least one teammate per player (which means one player gets to pull two teammates). Nominated players are NOT allowed to be teammates, regardless of drafting group. The draft order in each round is based on the lowest cumulative salary, so you have to weigh taking the best/expensive player available vs. how early in the round do you want to draft. When you draft a multi-team player, please specify which team/version of the player (i.e., 1984 Sutcliffe, Cubs partial. In this case, the Cubs full-version is also off the board, but the Indians full or partial is still available).

Keep in mind that you are allowed to change your pick after the fact. 24 hours after the last pick was made, no more changes. Also, keep in mind that 6 hitters and 6 pitchers must be nominated with some reasonable degree of positional normalcy for the hitters.

Man, I'm feeling the pressure of picking first. I have over a dozen really good options. It just depends which direction I want to go. Let's go with a player I've used before. I hate drafting late in each round, but I can't pass up getting two top 10 modern day starting pitchers.. (I have a feeling I will have lots of deadball pitchers to choose from during the draft).

Correct, just post the player, then at your convenience, site-mail me what season you want to use. I will indicate in the player selection thread once the season has been site-mailed to me. It is usually pretty obvious as to which season will likely be nominated for each player. In a few cases, there could be a couple of possible seasons.
