They mentioned several times in the Dev Chat that they wanted to make 3.0 more realistic....k.
Is this there something unrealistic about a guy getting a promised starts and minutes deciding to sign immediately? Or am I mis-reading sarcasm into this?

Anyway, moral of the story is, no, you're not screwed, though it will pay off to be resourceful. Going from "screwed" to signing a top-200 SG as a D3 is not a bad turn of events.

I was talking about kevbo losing a recruit to a D3 school. Not realistic at all. Not even close.

If NO ONE wanted him then maybe I'd be fine with it. But if a D1 school shows interest then it should delay his signing with a D3 and give the D1 school a chance to put in effort. That's logical and realistic

I am confused on how much weight the promised start and 10 minutes gave, I was down Low to Very High, and then bam I signed him.

this is all about relative effort, not absolute effort.

so if you've got 100 APs and a scholly and your opponent has 300 APs and a scholly, you might be low and he might be very high even though neither of you has really invested all that much.

Gotcha, I agree getting the balance of APs right relative to prestige should be priority #1. I think your proposal is reasonable, especially with a two level difference. One level should require scholarship + *some* effort; at two levels, D1 attention should knock the D3 below RNG range with APs until the very last cycle.

The RNG when it comes to signings seems pretty far from realistic which they said was their goal.
