From an outsiders perspective I can tell you that where I live, which is on Canada's west coast (Vancouver Island), 90% of us are fearful of a Trump Presidency, to the extent that one third of us even want to severe diplomatic ties. And we are perhaps your closest allie,
What are you fearful of? Other than the fact that Whoopi Goldberg will be moving there now.
He's afraid Trump will build a wall in his 2nd term to keep the filthy canucks on their side of the border.
What Trump represents is what we are fearful of. The US is a lot further down the list of places that we will vacation in. Mexico is much more appealing.
What does he represent? Serious question.
Agree. Would like to know?
He represents the worst traits of some of the American people. He is racist, ill informed both Nationally and internationally (a polite way to say he isn't the smartest person to run for office), has a temper not suitable to the office, is vengeful, has little respect for women, and is dishonest.

In this day and age that is not someone you want representing your country. You deserve much better.
Racist: Not so sure. His wording sucks, lack of political polish, but he wants illegal immigrants gone.

Ill informed: Probably. Again, not a politician. Not sure why he'd care about a lot of things if it didn't affect the way he did business. But that's why you hire advisors. Hillary was an international nightmare and pandered to voters nationally. Not sure she was any better. Almost certain she wasn't.

Temper: Meh. People with money and no political aspirations pretty much do what they want. Politicians, which he now is, have to behave better. We'll see.

Respect for women: Again, people with money. Bragging to another dude. Take it for what it's worth.

Dishonest: Fits right in Washington. Hillary would rather lie that eat when she's hungry. She and the truth aren't even acquainted.

I think you're working with limited information. Open your mind.

Then you have the Van Jones White-lash comments.... While it was great seeing him squirm after a trouncing these comments were just as predictable as Maddow's. What a frickin drama queen.

And, just in case you're late to the thread, I'm not a Trump supporter. I refused to vote for either candidate. IMO, they're both terrible.

Trump's antics concerned me.
Hillary's lying concerned me.

But, if Canada wants to sever diplomatic ties, I don't think America will shed a tear. Not sure what we're getting from that relationship and, as Trump said, America first. Bring something to the big boy table or go sit at the kiddie table.

Do people not realize Bill Clinton started building the wall in 1993, George Bush continued building it, and now that trump wants to finish the same wall he's the racist?

The racist comments are more to do with his "all Muslims" or "all Mexicans" comments. That would be no different than someone saying "all Americans". The wall is just a stupid idea.

The start of this thread is funny.

I said "They're all crap."
"You have to pick one or ignore."
Made fun of Fat Christie.
And, finally, said "If Hillary doesn't step on her on dick, she's the first woman President."

All still hold true 2 years later.

And burnsy brought up Mike Pence.

Fortunately not many (one third) want to sever diplomatic ties, but the fact that there is a fairly sizable faction that does, and these are your best friends internationally, should be of concern. If it isn't then you deserve Donald Trump as your President.

I think he's fearful that we may make Canada take Justin Beiber and Celine Dion back.

I think England is our best international friend.

Nonetheless, we had two choices. Both bad. Other countries are not going to like one of them. If Canada doesn't like Trump, not much we can do. Russia hated Hillary. And who knows who hacked her personal server? I've heard about 5 different countries took turns dipping into her honey hole. That's problematic.

Well, if true, Trump is already making America great again.

He never made 'all Mexican' comment. He was referring to ILLEGAL Mexicans crossing the border, said it wasn't just Mexicans either but illegals from South America too. For the full context and script read here https://www.google.com/amp/www.breitbart.com/live/vice-presidential-debate-fact-check-livewire/fact-check-donald-trump-not-call-mexicans-rapists-criminals/amp/

Also he never said anything about ALL Muslims. He was referring to TEMPORARILY banning Muslim IMMIGRANTS from entering the country until Congress can figure out a better way to vet them. Big difference.

Watch out for media sensationalism. It sells. Follow the money and you'll see why they report (literally) **** like they do.

The wall is to stop illegal drugs from entering the country as well, not just the 2.5 million illegal immigrants that were caught crossing our southern border the last 7 years. Imagine how many weren't caught.... The wall, fence, whatever you call it is not a stupid idea. Even the white House has a fence around it, why? My neighbors have a fence, lots of people do.... Are they racist?

I agree that both were horrible choices. Unfortunately you only have two, which is where the problem lies. This was an opportunity to bring in a third party and make some real change.

We are making new best friends... Under Barack it's Cuba and Iran, and under Trump it it'll be Russia.

Trump kind of is real change. He's like a half Republican, half Democrat, non-politician. I'm still in awe how he highjacked the Republican party. Amazing!

I just said something similar in the non-sports forum.
