When is Recruiting Session 2 going to be fixed Topic

It is amazing how much more interesting the boards are when one blocks Spudhole and Mike. I highly recommend the experience.

The only problem arises when otherwise great people quote and respond to the trolls. Please don't do that!!!

Awe, did I hurt your little feelings? Too bad, so sad.

Spud, obviously there is some hidden agenda with you and elite D-1 teams. I'm trying to find a fair and balanced solution that will eliminate problems for both divisions. Just because you don't feel like there are any problems with the game, doesn't mean there aren't any. I don't know, maybe it's me, but it seems all your arguments are in favor for your low tier D-1 team and previously D-2 team before that. I'm getting a sense that you think if enough people will complain for something, they'll get their way and it will eventually screw your team over. Not to mention, none of your arguments make any logical sense other than getting what's best for your team.

Been saying this since beta. Just looking out for #1

There are problems in D1, I have stayed positive they will be taken care of. I tested it in beta, bought seasons to see if recruiting was working as intended, went D3 too. And to be honest, all problems talked about remain in D1... I know Spud likes to say we need to plan ahead but sometimes you just can't. I will give him one of the many example : right now I am locked in in a battle for a late signee. Recruiting ends at 11 tomorrow. The recruit hasn't sign with either team so far. Both of us can't move our ap because the stake is too high : five stars prospect. Say he signs with either, no way the other team finds another player valuable now. The random decisions on when players sign is also something we can't prepare for.

Well, people act like that only applies to them. It applies to everyone in D1. You want that 5 star. There's risk/reward. Reward is you get him. The risk is you don't and you don't have time to find a good player to replace him. If there is no risk in this game, there are no decisions to make. If there are no decisions to make, what are we doing?

"Spud, obviously there is some hidden agenda with you and elite D-1 teams."

Nope, none. I just like seeing fair competition at all levels, and the guys at the top asking for favors aren't in line with that. Also, if you imagine that Jackson State is my only H team, you'd be wrong.

"Say he signs with either, no way the other team finds another player valuable now" if you haven't got one lined up yet. If you do, you're in business. As MikeT correctly observes, "You want that 5 star. There's risk/reward." That's a healthy game.

the game gives different preferences to prestige, division and other factors

saying that one is in favor of "fair competition" is not an argument for one set of preferences/opportunities - what makes a particular set of allocations and preferences fair?

"Fair" is in the eye of the beholder.

But, unless you're Duke, "Duke always wins" isn't fair.

Spudhole you are living proof that DI coaches are not the most skilled, gifted coaches in HD. In fact you are proof that it is way too easy for noobs to get to DI.

Mully, spud has 3 alt IDs that have 5 national championships at each division on each ID. Duh.

D3: can recruit d3,d2,d1... 60ath will do, speed can be a strat. D2, everywhere too, 70 ath is now close to the norm... in the starting five. D1, at 80, you are a 64 nt team, maybe you could go speed heavy offense. Still second round loss... you need to close in on 90. At some spots, but there aren't that many guys like this around, this is why plan b is a loser plan, and c is a filling to be legit and hope for the best.. so stop
comparing!

So it's hard to be top team at D1?

And?

Now THAT is truly a giant contribution, really elevates the conversation. Is it any wonder that you are still nothing but background noise? Remember, a normally developing child advances past name-calling like "Spudhole" at about age 9 or 10. "Awe, did I hurt your little feelings? Too bad, so sad."

Trump calls people names all the time.
