So, as long as you don't lose a battle, you're good. Got it.

I'm going to apply my limited experience now. Had a couple of scholarships to fill in RS2. Filled one. Was the ONLY school on a low level D1. He was D3-quality so I felt pretty safe. Nope. SIM D1 took him in two cycles. Fine. I had a plan with an even lower level D1 player. Only school on him. Nope. SIM D1 took him in two cycles. Problematic but I had an even worse player on my books. Sadly, I didn't have time to open up scholarship. Should I feel slighted? That the system screwed me? I don't. I took a chance. I gambled. I lost. I hope to do better next time.

D3 is not D1. But I want to win just as much as you do. Any way you slice it, both of us are playing with 11 man rosters.

So, if you would, tell me why your loss is worse than mine. I get D1 is harder and the losses are bigger but, if a relative n00b can adjust to 11 players, I suspect someone much better at the game can also.
I don't mind losing a battle. Won three, lost five so far, H to VH (hard to lose when you are VH, but hey, I see it different now). What I would change is job change in second session, team you reserved (gets you a team you did not build), ees and d2 getting their way against top D1 teams, coming in late on recruit for strat purposes or just changing jobs.
So you agree that your loss at D1 is no worse than mine at D3? If so, good. If not, why?

All walk-ons matter!

Well, mine sucks.

Anyway, my point is that everyone, at every level, can lose a battle and get stuck with a walk-on. I'm not sure why D1 gets all the attention/complaints. I had probably the 9th-10th best team in my conference. I think I was #5 in recruiting within the conference. Had I gotten either player that I was the only school on for several cycles, I might have been #1 in the conference. Strides would have been made.

"Spudhole you are living proof that DI coaches are not the most skilled, gifted coaches in HD. In fact you are proof that it is way too easy for noobs to get to DI."
Now THAT is truly a giant contribution, really elevates the conversation. Is it any wonder that you are still nothing but background noise? Remember, a normally developing child advances past name-calling like "Spudhole" at about age 9 or 10. "Awe, did I hurt your little feelings? Too bad, so sad."
Same old blah blah blah from the HD windbag. Go back to your spudhole. You are worthless here and everyone knows it.
ROFLMAO!! There goes the chief hater on the entire forum, a guy who lives a dark, dark life, hasn't commented on the game in weeks, spewing his usual hate, as self-righteous as ever. That is sooo yesterday's news. Is it any wonder that he has become nothing but background noise?

I have five openings in D3 Mike. Strat is completly different from D1 or D2... Strat at D2, different too. Getting walk-ons in D3 won't happen to me.

The recruiting class rankings mean very little. Basically nothing.

Spud--I don't get how you can't see that you are the background noise to everyone here. You are what we try to drown out. You are what we hope doesn't interfere with our enjoyment of the game. You are what is wrong with HD now.

When one person gives you a hard time, that person could turn out to be a douchenozzle. When everyone gives you a hard time, you are the douchenozzle.

It happened to me. I shot high. One user got two D1(D3 skillset) and I felt I needed one to stay on pace.

So, really, this is no different than your D1 school losing a battle and having no time to secure a back option. If it IS different, explain. I'm willing to learn.

You are right Spudturd. I hate ********, douchebags, and posters who talk **** out their azz without having a clue what the real answer is. There is currently only one poster on these forums that fits this description, and that's you. If we were all "haters" why is it only you that gets busted time and time again by us for being a jackass?

"Spud--I don't get how you can't see that you are the background noise to everyone here."

Wrong. I comment about the game, and have good discussions on the forums and in messages with other like-minded coaches. If you don't like it, there is a block-user feature you can use. Trying to "drown me out" with childish name calling and ad hominem attacks is not the same thing. Don't injure your elbow trying to pat yourself on the back.
No, he's right. You've posted several times using the "waaahbulance" insult. Is that commenting about the game? You do it because you want to do it because you think you're funny or something. Then you play the victim card when people 'troll' you or call you names.

There is a reason why you are the most disliked poster on this forum and don't have a shred of credibility.

"BTW, what is the reason to keep arguing for D1 to be made easier? Aren't D1 coaches the most skilled and accomplished, the masters of HD competition?? C'mon, are D1 coaches stimulated by competition or scared by it?"

Prime example - you seem to have the inability to enter a thread without throwing out some jackhole comment. It's why no one likes you here.

Also I love how Spud tells everyone to block him if they don't like what he has to say. Block button works both ways Spud. Block me or Mully or KC or anyone else that doesn't like you. And while you're at it, block all the people who you think are whiners that you want to quit playing. That'll make things much better for you.

You win. Haters, 2. Spud, 0.

Happy?

Edited to say dammit, I got provoked into talking to the background noise again -- my bad.

Does this mean you're not going to post anymore??

It's a Christmas miracle!
