If I have a big man with a perimeter rating of 1, will he still be able to score if he has a high LP rating and I set his scoring to -2?

I have a guy like that right now actually. Was only a FR last season so I didn't give him the ball much but I expect him to be a good scorer. Per does help big men make jump shots though.

At D2/D3 ABSOLUTLEY!

At D1, Perimeter helps but you can still score efficiently with 90 ATH/LP.

This guy is pretty good at D1 with only a 2 PER.

Perfect, thanks guys. I was about to have a "Hello darkness my old friend" Gob moment when realizing not one, but both of the bigs I recruited for my DIII Chowan team have 1 Per with no potential of it going up. For some reason I thought only one of them had 1 Per.

Your senior PF is a perfect example of what I hope my guys develop into as Juniors and Seniors - thanks for sharing. I didn't realize a high Ath high LP big man could be a primary source of offense without any Per whatsoever; I assumed it would bring his FG% down too much.

Although PER doesnt hurt, I think bigs can be very effective with weak PER - will want to set for -2 on three pointers.

High Ath and LP men can be useful in certain situations. Speed and ballhandling do play a smaller part. However, if you're going up against another player with similar or higher athleticism, in the low post, then he might run into some problems scoring

I had a guy with 100 LP, 2 PE who I put on -2 and by reading through the Play by Plays (all dunks, layups, and hooks) I can assure you it doesn't hurt them almost at all.
