Question: Where is Knight World currently at on the schedule? Second Question: When you reserve a team in a new world mid-season, do you get to recruit in Period 2?

Knight just started recruiting session 2.

So I'm curious, if I reserved a team during the season, does that mean I don't get to recruit during session 2? And if so, why? Maybe this is old territory, but seems a bit ridiculous a coach wouldn't be able to take over his reserved team after the National Tournament.

If you "reserve" a team no to recruiting year one. However if you are a former Coach in Knight, and you use the "World's Formerly In" and keep watching for the Coach Change period, you may take over a team BEFORE Part 2 recruiting and recruit your players.

Just use the "World's previously played in" tab and watch for the Coach Change Period. Best way to take over a team, although it does take a little more effort on your part. You have full recruiting during part 2.

Thanks WVU. Wanted to join Knight b/c of the 2 games a day and hadn't played previously. I'm sure there are reasons behind it, but the fact that Year 1 is basically a wasted year when joining a new world seems like a great way to discourage noobs. Think about it: some new WIS coach reserves a team, then waits a month (or more) for the world to open up, then has to play with a total SIM team, to which they have no investment in. Yeah.

Kinda stupid if you ask me.

Kind of stupid to make your choice and then hate your own choice, isn't it?

Best to not take a team with a lot of current seniors. They will be recruited by the SIM. Better to go for a team with a nice number of Juniors. You will have a senior heavy team your first year, and lots of openings to recruit for.

Talked to WIS about this, it's "working as intended" my question to them was why not look at at least allowing coaches new to the world (or back to the world) to recruit period 2; can't be any worse than good ole simmy recruiting.
