i always thought montrose with a 18 year old sammy hagar was very underrated love the whole album especially bad motor scooter

Agreed. The first album was great. Sam sounded really good...

Anyone else an early Judas Priest fan? Sad Wings of Destiny is easily in my top 10 album list...Pavarotti once praised Halford's voice...

I find myself searching for new Clapton/Winwood live videos...is a shame that Blind Faith didn't stick together...over the past 10 years they have done several shows together. Derek Trucks is usually tagging along, playing a great slide...his dad was a drummer in the Allman Brothers...

Winwood was 14 when he joined Spencer Davis...his recent solo of John Barleycorn is really worth a listen...Traffic doesn't get their due either...

Nazareth is underrated. Lots of good tunes. Ditto for The Outlaws. A guitar army second to none...nothing better than Green Grass and High Tides cranked on my headphones...Huey!

My favorite Rush album was always A Farewell to Kings, but Caress of Steel is overtaking it...

You suck if you are not a Joe Walsh fan...

Welcome to the Club, Meadows, At the Station, Second Hand Store. A few off the beaten path that should be required listening...

of course assange will protect his ultimate source......assange has probably caused american deaths and much devestation out of hatred....why would he be respected...he is a dangerous enemy of american democracy...isnt that axiomatic.....i love the outlaws...great band.........assange said russia did not supply him the hacks...he never said that russia did not do the hacking......how can republicans of all people side with russia and assange...i guess snowden was a hero as well...whats next....stalin was misunderstood.....the yardbirds were real rock and roll and great to this day.

what are great headphones for an audiophile......comfortable and having the quality of tremendous speakers.

Bose are legendary. Pricey. Sony claims their noise cancelling beat Bose. I have a pair of Pioneer over-ear that still sound great. $60 when new...go to a sound room and try some out. Comfort is important. Read the reviews.

Re: the Rock and Roll HOF and more specifically rock and roll, here's an interesting essay by Chuck Klosterman. It begins with the premise that eventually one person can encapsulate an entire musical genre -- for marching band music it's John Philip Sousa, for reggae it's Bob Marley. Who is it for rock and roll?

Which Rock Star Will Historians of the Future Remember?

I vote Clapton. The only 3 time inductee, the guy is probably on as many recordings as Bing Crosby. What HASN'T the guy done musically?

Clapton seems like a very nice man, but NO! NOT EVEN CLOSE!

there is rock and there is rock and roll.
