My NC State team got all the way to E8 (A Prestige). Here's how we did in recruiting:
Timothy Williams: Very High...signed w/ Fordham (B) High. #5 PF / #9 OVR

then I moved on to fallback options for the departing sophomore C:
Ryan Letcher: Very High...signed w/ Appalachian State (D) High. #53 PF / # 180 OVR
Robert Sheedy: Very High...signed w/ Maine (D+) High. #140C
Gustavo Cardenas: Moderate...signed w/ Fordham (B) VH. [mentioned only as he was "late", but signed after 2 cycles of 80 AP effort, but just as I unlocked actions and had offered the schollie.]

Admittedly, I did sign Bennie Harris as #6 SG (VH to Colorado & Pitt's Low). With 3 openings in cycle 1 and 2 EEs, I am now down to trying to find a post player that will do me the favor of leaving quickly. Targeted 2 players to fill 5 spots, alone at VH on 4 and only signed 1. Nasty!

Brutal.

I feel you, rogelio. Pretty sure that I have yet to win a dice roll in HD 3.0. Only when I can knock everyone else down to Moderate or lower have I been able to get a player. VH-VH, VH-H, and H-VH battles have all been losers.

Probably because HD doesn't have dice rolls.

There is a Random Number Generated, whether its 1-100 or 1-1 billion, the result of which determines the outcome. You are playing semantics Coach. Regardless of the fact that the probabilities can be manipulated based on recruiting actions, the RNG still determines the ultimate winner.

And if you understand the game this way >> Regardless of the fact that the probabilities can be manipulated based on recruiting actions,>> you'll do just fine.

If this is how you understand the game >> the RNG still determines the ultimate winner. >> bless you, you're in over your head.

Edited to note that the hater has posted below that he doesn't understand it any better than you, either. That's not news, but I'm surprised to see him admit it. Guess the hate just had to burst out of him and he didn't care what he posted.

The point is, that even if you have max effort and all 'very goods', you can still lose based on the final results of a RNG.

Whether I have a 65 out of 100 chance of winning or a 35 out of 100 chance of winning, the RNG still picks the number.

It is what it is. So keep that blessing for yourself the next time you have to sneeze.

Yeah... That may set in later. Still, the not being able to cover the bad beat is the bitter pill.

The PR player signing in the same cycle in dumping effort to unlock is tough. I didn't even really like him, but at least he could give decent minutes.

Congratulations. You understand the game better than the window licker with >1000 posts.
Unfortunately he is so in love with himself he has to post the same stupid comments into every thread.
