Isn't it entirely possible that AP value is different based on preference, level, etc, etc?
Yes, those are multipliers but the multiplier should be constant and shouldn't impact the ratio of HV to AP.

Well, I asked for a reason.

I had three VG on a D1 and a D2 player. No good, bad or very bad. I am almost positive it took more AP to open scholly on the D1. Does that sound right?

Ward I don't think you should be giving answers. I feel like you should take a sabbatical from posting.

He actually got that one correct. Give credit where credit is due.

You know what they say about blind squirrels.

I recruited with a D- prestige D1 team. Prestige matters. A bunch. I was full in on a player, 80 ap's per cycle from day 1. 20 hv's, cv, 15 mins, start. Had an A prestige team that wasn't one of the ten teams listed on the recruit considering page after session 1, come in and get the said recruit in cycle 1 of the 2nd session. Knocked me from VH to low.

Don't encourage it though, for every correct thing there is something incorrect. I wouldn't ever answer a D1 question unless I was on that level and a veteran at that level.

How did the preferences line up? The considering list is alphabetical anyways. So you can lurk in VL building up AP and then drop it all without anyone ever knowing you are doing it if you are low enough in the alphabet.

That's actually the very first d1 question I have answered.

What were your preferences like?

Was pretty much my thinking too...

If I remember correctly we were pretty even preference wise. I think I even had good on wants rebuild. The only difference was prestige. I understand completely why the recruit would want to go to a higher prestige school. I was just very surprised that 1. He knocked me down to low after being all-in completely and 2. I had no warning, he signed the very first cycle of the second session. At the time I didn't understand the alphabetical listing of 10 schools....so that does make it a bit more clear..

Sounds like the prestige plus the dumping all in made it a flip. Prestige can be big if you know how to use it. The biggest thing I've learned so far in 3.0 is you've got to be completely flexible.

We still have trouble evaluating effort, which makes for bad decisions. Didn't we have an example of a D+ team battling a A+ and winning?

I don't have trouble :)

I think it's very evident when I need to get off a guy and move on and when I can battle and at the very least get my coin flip.
