Non-EE Improvements Topic

I don't even know what they are working on with the product lately. We just got an "update" and it sure didn't seem like much was done in that time really. I know alot of us want some type of solution to EE's but lets make this thread about other potential things we'd like to see happen.

A couple things I'd like to see:

1) Drag and drop capability on the recruit targets page - it's great that they have the 4 color categorization system but I wish we had the ability to put our top targets in an actual order at the top of the list if we wanted to

2) User Setting to exclude walk-ons from ratings - would love if we had the option not to include walk-ons when looking at other teams for game plan purposes (both overall team rating and each skill avg. rating)

3) Update National Champions page - honestly why is this taking them so long to fix?

4) Regional Camps - allow these to be performed whenever you want (not specific dates like currently)

I'm sure I'm forgetting other things I have in mind. Feel free to chime in with things you'd like to see done (anything but EE's please). Maybe, just maybe the developers will actually check these boards once in a blue moon (doubt it, but one can hope)...you know it might be a good idea lol

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
I want the ability to see the world schedule and have a "team (name) reserved" be added to the main page when we sign up to reserve a team mid cycle. Being able to see where to world schedule is at would be a good thing and I'd like be able to have the constant reminder I'm waiting for this team in this world and I have this many days left type thing.

I want firings!!!!!!!!! And loosening of the hiring for open positions.

Final 5 minutes lineup settings would be nice, three point shooters when loosing and FTs/rebounders for winning.

I'd like a longer period to schedule exhibition games.

I'd like to see some indication on the recruiting home page that you have a recruiting action pending on that player. Something like the indicator that you have offered a scholarship. Even just a well placed asterisk would do.

I think there is time lost. I would prefer they shorten the wait between the end of second session and season's start. I actually think the game needs more players. Work on this

Oh and cap d3 recruiting to d2. The game is awful now... at d3. It's only a race and who guessed right. Cause SIMS show up randomly almost.

Now that I will have 2 teams, I'd like to play them against one another. It would give me the opportunity to tinker with line-ups, settings, etc, etc and learn the game better.

And it would incentivize users to have multiple teams.

And no D3 players should sign in second session unless nobody gets H or VH... You can't strategize for higher level recruits when you are stuck on a late D3 recruit. Fix D3.

A caveat at the outset: I am only in DI. IMO, the #1 thing they need to fix -- even more than EEs -- is the recruiting penalty a new coach faces when taking over a program. It is extremely difficult to come into a new program (whether or not you're taking over for a human coach) and have even a chance of session 2 recruiting success (leaving aside the "long-term coach" preference goes away for 10 or so seasons). It doesn't incentivize movement and strongly incentivizes mid-majors to stay where they are, especially since conference cash has been taken away. But more importantly, I'm not sure why it's a good business decision to punish successful coaches, who presumably are the folks who have spent time/money to rise to the top of DI. The problem, though, is that I've spent some time thinking about this, and I'm not sure there's a quick/easy fix that also retains at least a modicum of realism (aside from there being no signings the first couple of periods in session 2, which I am disappointed that WIS hasn't already implemented). Maybe make player actions easier to unlock for new coaches? Maybe add a "coach prestige" preference -- so if you're a winner at the mid-major level, you have more credibility with recruits? I don't know.

In light of this, I'm not sure firings need to be a priority -- from what I'm seeing right now in DI, elite programs are open and available (some big 6 conferences are less than 50% full).

have the option to not see the top 100 if you are at D3. it means D1 takes like 7x as long to scout as D2 since i have clutter built in with the top 100 who im not going to be able to sign anyway

And I'd like a whole day of no signings to start the 2nd session to allow for actual 2nd session recruiting.

100% agree. Or mark them on recruit pool page. I don't need to open a player card only to find the dude is rated 88th overall.

And this could be done easily by making a Top 100 camp that schools could run at any time like their private camp. Run the camp, see the top 100 recruits level 1. Frankly, I don't need to see the top 100 with my D1 teams, as it is still difficult to go long distances to sign guys that are battled for.
