Creative Exhibition Strategies? Topic

I was just wondering what sort of funky experiments veterans owners have taken in exhibition games...like setting Distribution for one player at 99-100%...or making everyone +2 for 3-point attempts? Love to hear feedback on any interest in (or surprising) results! Obviously, fooling around like this might not be good routine strategy for player development but I am fairly certain that some of you will have tried stuff like this before, right?

There was an owner that would reverse his lineup (pg @ C, sg @ pf, etc) to see how things would play out. The results were interesting-you'd often see the stats playing out as they would if the players were in their normal positions. What made the least sense is you'd think your C playing PG would turn it over a bunch but it was rarely the case.

I sometimes forget to update my depth chart and/or distro for exhibitions. Occasionally , will get a scorer with upper 30's lower 40's in points but I have never hit 50.

I play slowdoen to increase the chances of overtime and more minutes of improvement

I find the DIII team with the most freshman and try to beat them as bad as possible. I've seen some really interesting box scores. -

Am I the only person who'd like MORE exhibition games?

As I just mentioned in another thread, I'd like to experiment sometimes. 2 games isn't enough because I use the first one to see how many minutes each guy would get and, if I don't believe it, I do it again in the 2nd game.

I did this recently. And nope they played out exactly like you'd think. My C starting at PG had zero assists and 8 turnovers Haha.

Benis, let's play against each other and do reverse lineups lol. Worst BH at PG etc.

You're on.

Anyone up for a 1 player distro challenge in Iba? You can only have 1 distro point on one player and his stamina is on foul trouble only.

Well, BH and I did the switcheroo (Not THAT switcheroo you pervs)

Here was the result

And like Darnoc mentioned, not much difference really. My C playing PG with 14 BH and 18 Pass has 2 assists and 1 turnover. However, rebounding definitely is player dependent as he also got 6 reb while my PG playing C got zero.

I did it again for my 2nd exhibition
Same C playing PG has 0 assists and 0 turnovers.
I think the star of this change was the guard turned C Clarence Smith. Shot 9-14 from the field and 8-11 from the line. Solid production!

Cool experiment

Proves that positions are absolutely meaningless in this game as well??

Rebounds matter by position. Other than that, you're probably correct.
