Is the U.N. a good deal?

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/06/16/america-pay-way-too-much-for-united-nations.html

Yes we should contribute, and certainly more than poorer countries than ourselves. But this is type of deal where Trump looks to save us some dough, to get a better deal. Perhaps if some of those countries would contribute more, and hold the executives accountable, it would benefit all involved. This is not radical thinking. Another example of where the status quo isn't good enough...

Another ho-hum day for the Trump presidency.

But why is Trump standing his ground on his surveillance accusations? Is he really that hard headed, or does he have something on Obama?

I find it a real head scratcher. ..yeah, he's nutty, but I'm not gonna underestimate him. How was Flynn surveilled, but no surveillance? His conversation with the Russian ambassador was supposedly at Trump Tower...

And Comey did say the FBI finds no evidence that the Russians had an impact on the election. And that their attempts go back decades...

Doc, Trump stands his ground on everything. He's still saying it didn't rain on Inauguration Day. Well, he did sort of cave on the birther garbage, although he twisted it pretty comically by explaining that Crooked Hillary started the conspiracy and he put an end to it.

As for Comey, here's what he said about Russians and the election:

We will never know whether the Russian intervention was determinative in such a close election. Indeed, it is unknowable in a campaign to which so many small changes could have dictated a different result. More importantly, and for the purposes of our investigation, it simply does not matter.

That's a bit different from him saying there's "no evidence that the Russians had an impact on the election." And I agree with him on the "does not matter" part. They had an impact, or they didn't; either way, that toothpaste is already out of the tube. Comey's got bigger, oranger fish to fry.

Yup, that's where I got my Comey quote.
3/20/2017 5:22 PM
In there, Comey does talk about actual voting, and if any were changed by Russians...
3/20/2017 5:24 PM
no one is discussing the results...comey may have had an impact too.....events conspired to impact the results...this is about whether pence is going to be taking over or not....why waste time about the results...it cant be changed no matter what....unless there was voting fraud...only trump says that happened.
3/20/2017 5:30 PM
I haven't heard much about vote changing. That would be so much worse than the hacking and the Mike Flynn stuff, if true.
3/20/2017 5:31 PM
I will not defend Trump if his wiretap accusation comes up empty. I'm just curious to see if/what evidence he has.

On the Russia involvement, I just want to see if Dems have a legit beef that Moscow cost her the election, and if the campaign worked with Putin.

We know the Russians attempted to impact the election. But to what success?

I couldn't even get WIS to redo a World Series I lost to an obvious cheater (an owner who had 3 other alias IDs in the same league), so I don't think anything's going to be done about the election results at this late date.
