I get why people want open borders. I don't agree with it, but I get it. I know most illegals don't commit serious crimes. Same for any immigrants. But how many attacks like Orlando, San Bernardino must we have? Trump wants a temporary ban on 6 countries that cannot provide us with vetting information.

How can anyone defend sanctuary cities? If Charles Manson escaped and hid in one of those cities, is that ok? If not, how is that not alright, but a person that entered this country illegally and committed a serious crime/crimes, harboring them is ok? When exactly did that person's importance exceed the safety of American citizens? How can people not support Kate's Law?

Yes, seems that the courts that denied his travel ban see his remarks as more important that the actual wording of the ban itself.

He has not helped his own cause in the court of public opinion. But he is getting resistance where it is not warranted. I know Dems hold a grudge over Merrick Garland, but Gorsuch is a choir boy. They have no grounds not to confirm him. They need to do a better job picking their battles. If they do nothing but resist, the American people will see it.

My wife and I actually know the family of Kate Steinle. It's easy to bleat about the rights of ILLEGAL immigrants when it's never really affected you beyond the Home Depot parking lot.

If the travel ban goes to the Supreme Court, Trump will likely win. For what that's worth...

based on precedent i would tend to agree but there are 2 issues...first it is trump and second you still have trump's own words...the order is considered to have been written directly by him...it is not legislation....his words do impact what is written....

11th hour changes to the Healthcare legislation...there may some late maneuvering before they meet with Trump...

McConnell will go nuclear as a last resort. Gorsuch WILL be an Associate Judge on the US Supreme Court.
