um, i kinda like the Trump chaos
Of course you do...

If he's guilty, take him out on a rail. Hold him and everyone else that's guilty accountable. That idled prison in northern Illinois could be put to use as a white collar prison...Trump can take credit for creating prison jobs, and for the revenue generated by its renovation...

My argument has always been to show proof before saying that his guilt is factual.

The argument that Repubs don't give a **** about poor people is weak. The middle class has been shrinking under both parties for 20 years. African Americans are far worse off than in 2009. If Trump delivers on revving the economy, it will go a long way to helping middle and low income earning people in this country. Less will need Federal assistance, and we can do more for those that still need a hand up...the new unemployment number was just announced... 4.4 percent. Let's see what the trend looks like, as well as the workforce participation rates...perhaps some that had given up on finding a job will return...

if it is a wacky conspiracy theory then why is the fbi still investigating strong 9 months later along with every other abc investigative agency......come on now.
Oh there may be fire among the smoke. I'm not saying Trump is innocent. He and/or people close to him may have done things that were improper or worse. I am not saying there is nothing here, move along.

Hillary, her Foundation, Huma Abedin, and perhaps Podesta and others are still under investigation.

My contention is that the left and the media have already returned a guilty verdict on Trump. Calling for impeachment. Obstructing at a level much greater than you saw with Repubs dealing with Obama...

Is now being reported that Rand Paul has made a formal request for information to see if the Obama administration surveilled him during the primaries...curious if the MSM will ask questions, or give this any airtime...does he have a reason to believe they did, or is he just paranoid?

The rich always get richer. They did very well under Obama too. Had Obama and his super majority in Congress eliminated tax loopholes, perhaps they would have paid more in taxes. And they would have gotten billions from Wall Street fat cats, had they actually held them accountable for what they did with all the mess they made with the Freddie/Fannie commercial loans...cost this country 1/3 of its wealth a decade ago. Jerks like Jamie Dimon got off with a slap on the wrist.
I agree with everything you posted here, Doc. And yet somehow my idea was "Give Bernie a chance" while yours was "Give the devious pathological liar billionaire with all the Wall Street fat cat friends a chance" -- weird!

Regarding Democrats protecting people's lives through Healthcare...they sang in the House chamber, hoping that the legislation fails. But this would mean that many would not see improvement in their Healthcare. Could some die from this? Seems their politics outweighs making improvements ...the polarization is stifling progress in this country...perhaps my point is over the top. But the Dem argument that people will die if ACHA becomes law seems weak, when they are not by and large involved in working towards improving a decimated system. Instead they root for Republican failure. No wonder someone wanted to drain the swamp.

How exactly do you "work towards improving a decimated system" when you hold no actual voting power?

Bernie is an idealist. A Republican Congress would not have funded 5% of what he asked for. The studies done on presidential candidates showed his policies would cause our GDP to shrink by 10%. The economy would have tanked. He would have run us like a commune. Taxed us to death. The wealthy would have ratholed their money. He gained quite a following, but I don't think a Socialist would have won the White House. My 2 cents...

You work across the aisle, rather than just vote as a block against legislation. You do the people's work. I don't deny the obstruction of Repubs during the Obama years, but they did attempt to move bills to Reid's and Obama's desk. All you hear from the Left is to resist.

The Senate needs 60 votes on some measures. The Dems could provide some of those votes, and get at least some of what their constituencies want...
5/5/2017 7:30 PM
Tip O'Neill/Reagan and Clinton/Gingrich got things accomplished. Why can't Trump/Schumer? Healthcare and infrastructure are areas where Dems can get victories...

It would be really dumb politically for Repubs to write legislation short on promise regarding pre existing conditions. It has become a hot button topic.

But like other types of insurance, it is a high risk for insurers. Benjamin Franklin charged more to people to insure wooden homes than he did for those with brick homes. They just need to find a way to keep rates affordable. The individual and small markets usually get the short straw. It is a complicated task. And one that may require revision down the road, even with positive changes put in place. But hopefully a model that basically works, unlike the current one.

the good doc is suddenly a member of moveon.org......the song wasnt a hope that the legislation would fail..it was a mocking of what would happen to the republicans that voted for it...they could also have sung the fools on the hill...from magical mystery tour.

beatles channel coming to sirius/xm channel 118......

You can argue that the ACA is worth saving. You also could have argued that the ACA was largely unnecessary, that changes could have been made without the government taking over Healthcare. That decision was political more than about fixing Healthcare, IMO
