One of my favorite movie scenes is the hamburger scene from Falling Down with Michael Douglas. The burger looked nothing like the picture displaying what yours should look like. Great movie.

It just is. You sure ask a lot of questions...

of course the hamburger scene from pulp fiction is #1.

A bagel is like a donut gone wrong...like it tried to morph into a pretzel or something...it's technical

that is certainly up there......a bagel is a tasty bread that involves skilled baking and healthy ingredients.....it is a 24/7 bread..you can put anything on it...cream cheese...butter....tuna......egg salad......jelly...peanut butter.....lox.or cream cheese lox.....white fish salad...kippur salmon or kippur salmon salad. sable..etc...it isnt neutral like your basic bread...it is always 50 % of the sandwich. if it is a good bagel....you can toast it lightly or not...and so many types of bagels...i prefer a good fresh plain bagel or a good fresh egg bagel.

You are minimalizing my bread? That your bagel is superior to a hoagie, a brioche? That my whole wheat isn't up to your standards? Seems uppity. ..are you an elitist?

I like English muffins. What's your take on those? Is sourdough up to snuff for you?
5/5/2017 9:20 PM
a bagel is chewy but tasty, then after you toast it it's not chewy

a English is untasty but chewy, then after you toast it it's not chewy but tasty

sourdough is my go to dry toast. basically a utensile, a shovel stop for my fork

glad we could work this out. where's my skillet

How did they make an English muffin that goes from untasty to tasty, using only heat? Was probably something a Wales scientist stumbled upon while trying to perfect their radar...they are so clever.

bagels are just too thick you can't get the right bread to topping ratio English muffins are way better

Is a crumpet more like a muffin, or a waffle? This has always puzzled me...perhaps the Brits tried to imitate the Belgians, but didn't get it quite right...

Sausage...links or patties?

With a burger condiments/veggies should be on top, unless you have so many toppings you have to go over and under to help everything hold together.

For something like tuna some people put the lettuce underneath because it helps prevent the bread from getting soggy. There's a practical reason for this. Although if the restaurant is really preparing food as orders come in, this should really only impact the slowest of eaters...
