I messed up on #5. What I mean is that you should not offer a ship until the cycle a recruit can sign with you if a DI is on the recruit. Say you unlocked HVs and ship offers at the start of session two at DII the recruit has preference early and a DI is in the recruit but didn't offer in the first cycle. Put in all your attention at once so the DI doesn't have a chance to respond.

2 CC in 16 seasons.

A) I wasn't discouraging anyone from posting. I was making a point.
B) If I'm a n00b, I might think it's an absolute. I took some really ****** advice 6 months ago because I didn't know any better.
C) I wasn't the first to be negative. Not sure why you clowns, except mullytroll, are singling me out.

As much as I think mully is a whiney troll(not sure if he knows it or not), something like that coming from him would have more value. We'll never see it, because mully does nothing but whine and troll, but cubcub is not in the same class as a coach. Once is very good, one has 2 conference championships in 16 seasons or, if you prefer, a worse rate than me. The results aren't there.
And it wasn't even me who called you dick!

I'm indifferent to this to be honest. As long as cubcub doesn't give god awful or plainly wrong advice then w/e its fine.

Saying that he needs more stripes to give out advice is a little harsh but probably also fair to an extent.

but cubcub's intent is fine. And if its not a thread about EEs then no one should really complain too much.

Anyway, it wasn't my intention to bash you. I decided not to comment until someone else had. But this is pretty definitive:

1. If you want to go to the Sweet 16, you need 50 ATH/DE at DIII, 55 ATH/DE at DII, and 65 ATH/DE at DI AT THE WORST. If you want to make it consistently, add 5.

And wrong.

Another thing I'll say-

there are so many ways to win in this game. Which is what makes threads like these really fun to talk about.

and 2 super successful coaches could have very opposing viewpoints on how to build a good team. Nothing wrong with that.

2 CC in 16 seasons.
I play in hard-*** conferences. Not your hardball dynasty buddies but instead in a conference that perinnaly had 4 other top 25 teams.

So you're going redline and quote my posts? I'll tell you the same thing I told the last guy(who hasn't been seen since) who started reporting on topic posts, you'll receive a visit from ADMIN. They don't like that.

Back in the day when you were still breast feeeding I used to post a lot of stuff on the forums, as did a lot of vets. Those were much better times for HD and the forums.

Either way, the point remains. You don't have the results to start making definitive statements on how to win in HD. 2 CC in 16 seasons.

THIS WHOLE THREAD IS OFF TOPIC. Let's focus on the game not you.

We've been thru this. Do you really think I've been on this site for 14 years AND am under 18? If so, you're really dumb. I mean realllllly dumb.

CC is not a great indicator. I'd rather look at tourney success and whether you were able to build up a team from scratch.

This thread would actually be useful if we were still discussing the original 6 musings that Cub posted. I've gravitated towards using a number of those principles and would really like to know what some of the quality coaches think of them.
5/12/2017 2:55 PM
I deleted my off topic posts. I'd also like to know what you guys think of them. If you think they're wrong that's fine.

Thanks for the post, cub. It's always nice to get a different viewpoint from other Coaches. I've been in the game a long time and I appreciate advice from people trying to help the game. I'm struggling with 3.0 but enjoying the game nevertheless. Thanks cub.
