Ha, thanks. I know it's a talented team, but I'm pretty sure if I was a better coach I could get more out of them. I'll feel like an epic failure if I don't get a sweet 16 out of that squad.
I'm no expert but looking at your roster it looks like a guard with really good BH/P would do you some good. Your team is averaging more TO's per game than assists.
playing off this - i have no idea how this would go, but if you want to experiment here is something you might consider:
1. Give Reeves more minutes. He can play defense, handle the ball, and is your best passer
2. Give Jacobs more touches. He is by far your most efficient scorer so far
3. If you want to get really crazy, consider having the starting lineup be Reeves, Head, Jaskolski, Jones, Lucifer (what a name!)
then have the bench be Mock, Henley, Jacobs, Howell, Seigler
The big idea is that Reeves will just dribble the ball up and distribute. The scoring on the 1st unit will be largely handled by Head, Jaskolski, and Jones. The defense will be great on this unit.
Then on the backup unit, you have Mock and Jacobs handling the scoring, and Jacobs' passing makes up for Mock's inability to distribute.
Give Mock a disproportionately high amount of minutes relative to Reeves - Mock should get some minutes with the starting lineup
This may totally not work, but if you feel like you are underachieving then changing things up might be worthwhile. That being said, I DONT think you are underachieving. You have lost 2 games against quality opponents. Don't be afraid to tinker - it can really help. But I wouldn't feel disappointed in your performance so far
