Ive heard everyone say that it is effectively impossible to get a keep looking or longshot job. However, in the future, what are you closer to getting. I've heard people say each one so I'd like to hear the consensus once and for all.

I think someone once said Keep Looking is closer than Longshot. I haven't any data for this, though. Longshot is about a 5% chance.

From some old posts I've read about this, I believe both are the same odds of getting the job. However, Keep Looking means that if you do happen to land the job, your loyalty will take a hit. It's like a combination of Longshot and Step Backwards.

Thanks. Exactly the feedback I hoped someone would post. Dare I say it, we need the0nly back in these forums.

Edit: 67 views and 4 votes? 3 posts? Does anyone know or have any idea except three newbs who wondered together and another who combed from forums from 2012?

sorry, there will never be a consensus once and for all on this

there is not much data - and not much reported data - so anything anyone says is a guess. Plus, few people apply at longshot and keep looking.

My impression is that keep looking is less likely than longshot - and keep looking may be no chance at all. I dont recall any examples of getting jobs after "keep looking". They may have happened. People have for sure reported getting jobs after "longshot" but it is very rare.
