I can vouch for Laramie Bob that there are indeed human beings out there who survive without TV/cable. From about 2006 until last October, I was one of those -- like LB, I had a TV and used it only for DVDs. I finally relented when my Internet provider offered me a package deal wherein it would be a few bucks CHEAPER every month if I took cable TV with the Internet. I now watch a few baseball games a week and the occasional episode of PBS NewsHour. I would never watch Fox or MSNBC (not even sure if I get those channels). I can see their "funniest" clips online anyway, along with Alex Jones and Tuck Buckford.

If the teacher got in trouble for it, it wasn't school policy. It was one guy breaking the rules. Doesn't seem like a great example of forcing beliefs.

That's what most of these things are: one person breaking the rules, one person acting like a dope, one person making a bad decision, etc. But people like Mike have been brainwashed by Fox News to see George Soros-funded conspiracies lurking behind every corner.

Thank crazy. I may be backwards but It's because I choose to be backwards, I guess. I just don't find most of what's ON TV interesting. When it changed from well, whatever it was back when I used to watch it... to reality and other stuff I think is garbage (American Idol, I wanna be a singer, dancer,etc, The Apprentice, The (tribal) Survivor or whatever. all that stuff. I just find it trite, uninteresting and a colossal waste of time. I don't like WWE or cage fighting much either, nor soccer (Gag me!). So what's on it for me?? Not much. Too expensive a monthly charge to deliver garbage and waste my time. Easy decision for me. I haven't ever regretted unplugging.

Now, as to all the hating going on........... big whoop..........as effective as the sound of one hand clapping.
My long winded observation is (indeed) an accurate pic of what's occurring on these "news" sources.

Living without the TV News, (and all the rest of it) is hardly "out of contact with the world" and "Trump" is clearly NOT my "man".

It is forcing beliefs. If you stand up for true marriage between one man and one woman you are called a bigot, can lose your business, just to name a few. They are putting it in schools forcing and confusing our children to believe that it is normal. If they havent gone far enough gender ideology is now oozing into society.

I live in a rural area with NO free (thru the airwaves) TV reception and the local cable TV provider dropped out (stopped business!) over a decade ago.......... probably because there were so few of us buying their service.
The ONLY possible access to TV I would have is satellite (Dish or the other one, can't even remember their name!)
THOSE providers believe their product is worth WAY more than I do and I have refused to purchase it and won't anytime soon because I don't feel their product is worth the $50.00/month (minimum) that THEY think it is!! So F- YOU!!!
