"The media" is thousands of people. Sean Hannity is the media, so is Alex Jones, so is Amy Goodman, so is Glenn Greenwald, so is Seymour Hersh, so is everyone at Breitbart and everyone at The New Yorker, Fox News, CNN, PBS, etc. If you ask me do I trust or distrust all of them, how should I respond?
